I just discovered vedic astrology. It took forever to find a site that had the charts with any interpretations and when I did I was a little shocked.A great many things ring true - even down to my eye color. One thing I found surprising is that fame was indicated over and over again, as was great wealth. I am not currently experiencing any great excess of cash but it would be nice! Having all of the signs/houses shifted is strange - I don't know how I feel about having a pisces sun! I didn't even realize how attached I am to being an aries. Does you have any strong feelings either way in re: Vedic Astrology? If so, why? P.S. Any good links for learning more about it will be greatly appreciated. IP: Logged |

To me, Vedic astrology isn't as accurate as Western astrology to describe my personality and looks. I am a fast walker, doner, but Vedic astrology says I move very slowly.... Many other things are not true either.IP: Logged |

I'm not sure how to feel about Vedic astrology. At first I didn't think it was accurate, but I kept researching because I thought that maybe I was so into western that I didn't want to give it a chance. After looking up some stuff, my Vedic chart seems pretty accurate, although my western ASC seems to describe me better physically and in general.KRSchannel has awesome informative videos if you're interested btw. I actually like my vedic rising, but I don't know about my full chart yet. I have a virgo rising, which is cool because I always felt that that was my rising since cafeastrology.com told me. However, even though their calculations were wong, I thought that I was a virgo rising just by reading the desciptions. My libra rising is at 01 degrees and people have told me that was the cusp, but some they that no such thing exist! But anywhoo, my house placements stay the same, but instead of being all air and fire. It's more earth and water, which is so intresting to me because I have an earth void in my western chart. What site did you get birth infomation from because sometimes vedic can be so confusing to understand. It also can be a little depresssing when it comes to some explanations. I'm still very intrested in everything, though.

I haven't studied it a lot but I checked out some things. One is Vedic says I'm Venus in Leo. Western says Venus in Virgo. Venus in Leo is NOTHING like me at all! Along with other things. It has to do with how the two differ in determining our position. (Vedic uses fixed stars I believe, in determining our position in the zodiac) IP: Logged |
