Chiron is tricky really.
But I have always understood it to be the placement where one "receives most when learning to give".
Some refer to it as the "wounded healer" etc. But my question always is; "Can the soul of someone who comes from pure source energy ever be wounded?" And that is what we all really are TBH.
But on a physical level, I understand that we try and make sense of things from a perspective of life that we are "unworthy" and therefore fall short of the glory of all that we really are etc.
So from that point of lateral thinking,it is possible for a soul to be born with "wounds".
Wounds that can be physical /emotional and that such wounds can be "permanent"(or at-least feel that way). And that is the nature of Chiron really.
In my Chart,Chiron is difficult to decipher. As the ruler of my Chiron in Taurus(Venus) is conjunct Saturn. So the expression of this energy is thwarted.
I often find that aspects to Saturn/Neptune tend to thwart/"sabotage" or delay the expression of that planetary energy.
But nevertheless, on to your question(sorry for the rambling).
Venus/2nd house/Moon and even Jupiter(the Chaldean ruler of the 2nd house of values),all deals with issues of self-worth,self-confidence and self-esteem.
Chiron in the 2nd or on Venus/Jupiter/Moon often suggests that the area of interest touched on by the house/planetary association, is a very sore point for the person.
It is usually an area of much stress and strain. Something the individual just can't seem to get "right" and infuses much focus on the "lack" or "deficiency" they feel in dealing with that area of life(much like Saturn).
So if you were a bulimic child who had serious weight issues and struggled with a poor/disproportionate self-image(Chiron on the Moon or Sun).
Who would be better equipped/sensitized enough to understand and recognize the fear, anxiety and pain of another who is going through/has gone through what you have?
Who is better to look at the TV and see the falsely represented images of beauty and youth that young girls are pressurized to conform to society's definition of "being good enough"?
And better yet, who is most apt to be outraged by the subliminal advertising that is inundated on impressionable youths of the dangers of being "different" i.e "fat","ugly","unattractive" etc. through popular culture.
Chiron is where we "feel" most victimized. But it is also where we can become our own heroes and even access the healing powers to be the hope for others- who have felt the same way.
For Chiron to work however, the ego must be removed. And for one to recognize ,in earnest, their own demons in helping to heal and uncover similar demons in others.
Chiron offers an opportunity to "heal" past wounds and perhaps even realize that these wounds were more psychological than physical.
This aletrnative view is almost like a projection of the "savior"/"teacher" or guider on us. Through helping others in a fashion or way that we would have been liked to helped, we then help ourselves(if that makes sense).
Often Chiron will say;
"I never want anyone to go through what I did. So I will do what I can to prevent that"
"I never had a father whilst growing up. And so I want to be the best father for my kids."
"I never had a home whilst growing up and so, I will make this the best home for my children".
In the 2nd house, this may be "I battled with self-esteem issues when young. I want no one else to go through what I did"
It could also be "Even though I have never felt beautiful or worthy of love. I will not allow another to feel the same way" etc.
In the 2nd house/Moon/Venus/Jupiter , these areas of self-esteem,money,self-image,beauty,values or self-value etc. are all touched upon.
The reason I included the Moon is because I think everything starts there and then progresses to Venus.
The Moon governs how we grew up and our earlier environment. It is usually instrumental in creating fears/anxieties that are built up from the trauma of early life(the presence/absence of love) etc.
