Well, this probably sounds a bit silly, but I've been wondering about something lately. Whenever I propose something - from a new theory regarding my area of research, to trivial things like what to have for dinner - I always encounter lots of opposition. It's like I seem to have a gene that makes people disagree with me about everything. I'm not at all combative, I'm not even especially keen on being recognised for being right. But people react rather aggressively and/or dismissively to anything I suggest: the more important the question, the stronger the opposition, of course. So I just started wondering: are there any astrological 'markers' for this sort of thing? Anything in one's natal chart that one might look out for? I'm curious. I'm not sure that it even has anything to do with my ideas being particularly progressive, though I suppose some of them are. But no matter how well and comprehensively I argue something, no matter how much I take opposing views into consideration, the more I encounter opposition and the more I'm dismissed or ignored. The funniest part is that often I'm opposed violently, and then somebody else suggests my idea, and it's found to be absolutely correct. I'm growing very weary of that, and to be honest, year after year it's making me less eager to share any of my ideas or research findings with anyone. IP: Logged |

I believe it's either Sun or Moon in sq aspect to Ascendant. Or square/opposition to Asc.IP: Logged |

That's interesting - thank you, Nine! I don't have any of that, though - I have Sun square Moon, but the only square to my Ascendant is Neptune.I do wonder what this might be. I don't have an abrasive personality that I know of (on the contrary, I'm rather shy and retiring), but it sometimes feels like when people see me, they get a powerful urge to disagree on absolutely everything IP: Logged |

A 'soft' or feminine rising Moon/sign (earth/water) with an opposition or contra-parallel with Saturn, Pluto or fire planet. That's the type of thing most likely. However, not seeing your chart/birth data, there's no way to know. It could also involve a contra-parallel or opposition from Mercury to Mars, etc. I understand the weariness. Maybe the saying about 'not casting pearls before swine' will put some perspective on it. ------------------ Professional astrology - Expert rectification http://kannonmcafee.wordpress.com/ Rising Sign descriptions: https://kannonmcafee.wordpress.com/rising-signs-2/ IP: Logged |

Mars conjunct or in hard aspect to the Moon or Mercury. Maybe Mars in the 7H. IP: Logged | |
