If the Moon indicates our emotional nature, then wouldn't it have something to do with the emotional side of love? Are any of you generally attracted to your Moon sign? I've got my Moon in Scorpio and when I imagine my ideal partner they tend to posses all the positive Scorpio traits such as spirituality, loyalty, the guts to face darkness and suffering.
EDIT: Actually, one of my best friends whom I consider to be my personal hero is a Scorpio (even though I thought she was a Capricorn for some reason but no!) She's a Scorpio and a wonderfully strong, loving, spiritual one at that.

Hi nice topic. I have Moon in Aquarius and honestly I feel more Aquarius than my Sun which is in Scorpio and my asc is Scorpio too with three planets conjunct Pluto...but emotionally I feel Aquarius and I respond in an Uranian way...wild, unpredictable, etc...and yes I am attracted to Aquarius men. My deepest love of my life was Aquarius Sun and Aquarius rising. My last partner was Aqua Sun/Moon. Aquarius is about freedom and its not conventional or traditional sign and this theme has been prominent in my life. I like brainy men, smart, those types. Someone once told me we really love like our moon not our Venus...not sure if its true but in my case I do relate to this a lot. IP: Logged |

Venus conjunction Saturn is typical in the charts of men that tend to get attracted to mature and sometimes older females. Moon-saturn/moon in cap men i have seen tend to also attract mature and sometimes older females but isn`t always attracted back. I think the moon sign dosen`t necessarily say what one finds attractive but often i have seen it can show what sort of females one attract into their lives.IP: Logged |

I definitely think my Moon plays a running theme in my relationships. I have a 8th house Virgo Moon, that opposes my 8th house ruler. So, if you hit my Sun or Moon, **** gets real. Interestingly, I have wonderful synastry with my wife; one of the many aspects is my Moon conjuncts her Virgo Ascendant. She also has a packed 8th house, so I suppose this partly explains the deep connection we have. IP: Logged |

I have an Taurus Moon and water Sun and Venus, and though I love my Leo Ascendant, it brings me Moons that are incompatible with my water and earth placements. I get Leo, Sag, Aries, and Aqua coming down my path all the time. I think I can work with Leo and Aries, but the incompatibility of my Taurus Moon and Sag and Aqua Moon and Sun is just torture- very painful for the both of us. I think my Moon decides who it will work with. My Moon and Sun determine who I am drawn to (usually the opposite sign). My Ascendant shows who is attracted to me. While I deeply admire and respect Aqua (my DSC), enough to marry them, I am not attracted to them the way I am Scorpio, my Moon opposite, or Capricorn, my Sun opposite. My Taurus Moon got in bed with a Taurus Sun once. The sex was great, but everything else was ...zzzzzzzzzzzzz.... It was both our faults, lol. IP: Logged |

Your Moon kind of makes you who you are and so that would go forward to those to whom you were attracted but it would be a more complex situation than just the moon. One is attracted to the TRAITS of the sign on the DSC, not usually the sign itself. One's mars comes into play in attraction, too. ------------------ Want to Read Simple, Fun,Sexy Articles on Astrology? Check Me Out, DUDE. http://www.mychristianpsychic.com/

Good points. It's the traits of the DSC, but the sign itself might not be compatible. There is this one Aqua Moon who swears he loves me. I swear he loves the idea or image (asc) of me. I want my Leo to be appreciated, but my Venus and Moon NEED to be cared for, and their caring needs to be received. About Mars, lol. Mine is in Gem, and I met this thinker/talker- brilliant talker. He's actually a certified genius (there's a club or something-lol). I like him lots (btw, he's an Aries Moon). I always thought I wanted to be the talker in the relationship (the one to break things open), but my Juno in Gem has always said I can't have a quiet man...he's the first not-quiet man, and he just makes me happy with all his smart talking. To be clear, he doesn't talk at me. He talks to me. So yes, Mars too, and for me Juno.

I'm a Cancer moon and I think I am attracted to Cancerian qualities to a degree. I like guys who value their families and morals. I especially like it if they are close to their mothers. I also like it when they tell me about their past, hide some things from me until I break their walls, and their extremely calm personality. Most of these are qualities that are opposite to me. I'm open to the world, my family isn't exactly "family-like" at all, and I can be very dramatic about somethings (just can't keep calm lol). They also have really beautiful eyes.If there's one thing I'm not a fan of about Cancer men, it's the fact that they like to sit in one place the whole day until someone makes up plans, which is usually me. Come to think of it, the guy I was really attracted to was an Aries with Cancer rising and Cancer moon conjunct mine. But then again, other factors in the chart could play a role, too. ------------------ Gemini Rising Sun in Leo (2nd house) Moon in Cancer (1st house) Mercury in Virgo (3rd house conj.) I'm a Scorpio Moon. Just got out of a 3 year relationship with a Scorpio Sun, Mercury, asc and Pluto. Our synastry was nearly perfect too. Plus my Juno(ideal mate) is in Scorpio, and his Asc aspected it. His Juno is in Libra. I have no Libra in my chart. I'm the opposite actually, an Aries. Oh yeah his Moon is Taurus. (My Mercury is here) We had a lot in common, but there were definitely issues. It's been about a month since being dumped. So it's hard to think too much about a new partner. But yeah someone that wont put me through the same **** ex put me through. Someone more mature about relationships, that doesn't manipulate and play upper hand games. Someone that I can talk about having a real future with. No idea what this person will look like, or what we will have in common. Someone who deserves my loyalty. Some people find the DC important for soulmates. Mine is Sagittarius. I have never been with someone with any Sag in their chart. Am I suppose to be with a Scorpy Sag??? Stay tuned! ha IP: Logged |

Taurus Moon here, and am strongly attracted to Scorpio traits rather than Taurus traits. My Moon sits opposite Scorpio Pluto exact, and my Venus/AC conjunction in Aquarius squares both. I also have Mars in Scorpio, whereas my Moon sits alone in Taurus. The Scorpio pull in my chart is definitely stronger. IP: Logged |

Romantically speaking I seem more drawn to Aquarius, which is my 7H (partnerships, relationships, and for what it's worth the 7H is traditionally considered Libra and I have a Libra Venus)...though not solely this, it's just this pops up the most (that said, I seem to transform and be transformed by Pisces and strong Pisces placements in people which often result in a powerful love, though generally not the romantic kind, and my 8H is Pisces with 8H traditionally considered a Scorpio house which seeks transformation and not necessarily sex or the taboo--though I can share interesting stories about a couple of Pisces/Pisces stellium in this regard as well).Yet I'm currently with a Sag, which matches my moon. I also had a Sag for a pretend boyfriend (when we were 14) as a kid and was fond of him...but we were just friends who decided to call our friendship dating (interesting enough this finally got other girls interested in him). 👊 In regards to the question, yes and no. But I'm more attracted to fire and water types so I'll blame that on my water dominance and that I'm fire void. IP: Logged |

My 8th house is Pisces too. Eros and SN are in Pisces, and it's true, my love with Pisces is special. IP: Logged |

There must be something to what you're saying. My moon is in Pisces, I feel most comfortable with Pisces people although NEVER romantically attracted. I find that I am romantically attracted to Aries sun/moon men. I always thought it had to do with my dominant sign in Scorpio and my 8th house in Aries. As I comfortable and most familiar with Mars/Pluto energy, I would be attracted to a man with planets in my 8th house. IP: Logged |

There are sooo many moving parts! My moon is in Leo/10th and I generally find Leos friendly enough along with Gem and Scorp (sun and Asc)... My weakness is Cap and Can where my nodes are, with Venus and NN Can and Tau on the DC where my Jupiter and Mars live And the Caps usually have some Leo and Sag (Anti-Vertex)... That's the short form. It's complicated. IP: Logged |

I'm a virgo moon but at 1 degree - often i feel more leo moon and am attracted to this energy and taurus (dsc) in others romantically. I have leo mars too. i was with someone who was virgo rising and there was a lot of comfort but i didnt appreciate the nit picking critical vibe i got. it was kind of like a mirror for me.

I have a Cancer Moon conjunct Uranus and Venus. As a rule I am drawn to Libra Suns and people with strong Uranus placements but not Cancers or Aquarians, the sign on the 7H cusp. IP: Logged |

I love that you brought this up! I really believe people should go by their moon sign when it comes to compatibility since that reflects your emotions/ inner world.By most standards, since I'm a pisces, I should be compatible with a Scorp or a Cancer. Well...I've dated both of those signs, and while i'm usually attracted, it doesn't work. The scorp scared the bejesus out of me and the cancer was living a double life. My moon is in Leo. I'm now happily married to a Sag with a Libra moon, who coincidentally has a cancer rising (probably why i was initially attracted) So my theory is that ascendant determines attraction. I have an aries rising, which is probably where his attraction stems from. But the moons are what keeps us together IP: Logged |

My spouse has nothing compatible with my Cancer Moon. His chart lacks water planets. I'm not sure if his Cancer MC or 4th house Sun would do anything. He's the baby of his family and I'm an only child. He is more of my Sagittarius on the 7th house cusp. Four plants in that fire sign. Though in his chart, this is more applicable. His moon in is Aries, conjunct Chiron in the 7th house. Trines his Sagittarius planets and sextiles his Aqua Sun. He is Libra Rising........My Uranus conjuncts his rising degree. I have sun in Aries conjunct his moon. I guess he likes the fiery and sassy types. IP: Logged |
