I have a book by Linda Goodman, but not on Zodiac Signs (can't remember the name now). There's a section about music in it, and she mentions this as Martian music (I don't recall the term thrash metal, but she did describe this type of rhythm, which matches rock, metal and marches). So yes, Linda Goodman would agree with you this is pure Mars (and Aries).

I saw that in the cinema when I was 22 at least twice, maybe thrice (though I went to see it with goth friends, not by myself), and again when it was out on video and I was absolutely mesmerized by it. And somehow I don't think I even remembered that movie existed in the last few years! It just goes to show how much watching it altered my consciousness.

I don't know if I can give a fair assessment of just the music by itself as I'd memorized that song (a goth radio show I listened to back then played it all the time) which I'd say is mostly Scorpio with a strong dash of Pisces in there somewhere. Ah, not the highest visual quality but this shows how it was played in the movie:
