when i read the description of venus in scorpio i definetly recognised some similarities but this whole 'magnetic attraction' and not having to work for much with the opposite sex cause just oozing sex and just getting hit on all the type (seems to be the stereotype) - none of it.

other than drunk guys there hasn't been a male thats hit on me or tried to chat me up. my ex bf (only bf so far) - i hit on him. also i've never had any guys have crushes on me that my mates would tell me about.

i'm usually just ignored while they talk to my friends. even when i try to flirt. but usually i get ignored or pushed aside while my friends get chatted up.

with everything else though - yes. highly sexual. craving intimacy, possessive, jealous, temper, attraction to occult, just everything to do with venus in scorpio i see it in me. in every other aspect including the types of male i'm attracted to, i can relate with other venus is scorpios on forums completely except for this whole sex vibe thats where i'm coming up short. i feel like a femme fatale internally but externally i'm getting nothing . no one is picking up on it? or the vibes are manifesting the wrong way?

because despite only having one bf, him being my first for everything and before that out of my group of friends considered the 'prude one' my friends, when i told them i lost my virginity to that bf a few years ago were seriously surprised? they thought i lost it real early and has been getting it secretly this whole time. also another friend who tried to set me up with her friend just threw out randomly 'just email him! i'm sure in like 3 emails yous will be having Skype sex'... like i'm the type of girl to do that. unfortunately these are not new friends, we're talking 3-4 year old friendships here and somehow they're getting the wrong impression or being kind or something?

i'm wondering if theres something wrong with me or if i'm doing something wrong? is there something inhibiting my sexual energy that's apparently suppose to turn heads in a room and just be a silent siren's call? if so how do i sort that out?

in all, very confused. and tbh i really wouldn't mind having some of that magnetic attraction/ oozing sex etc etc right now in my life. definitely wouldn't complain about that.

This position can have people appear more conservative than they are. Add to this your Sun,Merc also there.

Venus is how you show affection. But for a women,this placement also indicates how one attracts a mate/how one "beautifies" themselves.

I think the Venus-Pluto conjunction in this case, is not serving you as its reputation suggests it should.

There is something "off putting" about someone(male/female) who "looks"/ gives off the vibe that they are in need of love,are looking for it or are desperate to have it.

This attitude tends to have the opposite effect of actually finding that which you are looking for. So the key is subtlety and less "intensity".

But with your Venus-Pluto conjunction,this may be hard to do. You may come off too "intense".

And with the added Cap placements, this "intensity" can mix in with being overly "serious" etc.

So what's a girl to do? Change who she is? No

The trick here is subtlety. The thing is that you need to focus your intensely penetrating energies on something other than finding "the one".

This may seem impossible, since you do not have that which I am asking you to stop focusing on. But you have to do it, in order to get the opposite results.

There is too much focus and momentum going towards "wanting". And the results are not satisfactory.

The irony of life is that, it is only when you don't "need" something that it shows up in abundance.

So your attention to the "lack" of it, makes the "lack" show up in abundance. As it is doing now.

Yet as I've become more comfortable in my own skin and accepted my Venus placement as it is, instead of rejecting it, things started to change and I began to see and experience those qualities becoming more and more prevalent. I stopped focusing on the external approval of my own attraction/attractiveness, and started focusing inward.

I believe it has more to due with the relationship you have with your own Venus sign that determines whether or not those qualities will be noticeable in your life.

Things like Self-worth/value, sensuality, acceptance, etc. all of these Venus related principles should be considered.

I'm a 1st house Scorpio Venus it is trine my Mars and minor aspects Neptune and Chiron. I am Libra heavy as well but I've never had any of the problems you've described. Venus is my chart ruler so maybe that explains it for me. Idk.

I wouldn't worry too much about it though. We're all human and work in our ways. Generalized statements are just generalized statements. Astrology is a lot more personal than that. Your whole chart works together.

I have Venus conj Eros but I don't smolder like the Eros conj the ASC or MC.

Venus is a yin planet which means it is not as "out there" as a yang planet like the Sun or Mars.

I bet the ASC and MC are yang, too.

I studied acupuncture lol

However, bottom line, the Venus does not seem to smolder like some of the more overt placements.

It is more subtle.

funny enough when i was a preteen around 12 i got hit on the most by older guys that were around 17-18 that thought i was 16 lol. but i have become more serious over the years and i definitely might be stepping out with my cap moon more than ever the last few years.

thinking over my original post and all the replies i’ve come to realise not only should i maybe change my mates but at the same time that it’s been a long while since i’ve taken a trip to revisit my sexuality. with all the capricorn stuff slapped on my plate the last 4 years or so with university getting it on has hardly been a real priority.

i’ve also realise that at the base of it - i feel like a venus in scorpio, reading the description for the first time was exhilarating because finally there were words to express how i felt about my sexuality and my feminine power. when i’m at my most confident and when i’m able to even turn myself on i feel like i do express it like a scorpio. hell i feel like i ooze sex and power.

and in the end with some reflection i realised that i’m proud of it. i’m proud of everything that has to come with being a venus in scorpio, possessiveness and all and i guess i got a bit bothered that the world wasn’t able to see how proud i am of that - i guess like a mother can get upset of the world doesn’t see how brilliant her baby is.

especially because i had to work on developing and accepting my sexuality and my views on romance by myself. i was raised by sexual and romantic polar opposites that resulted in abuse and addiction between by those two growing up. one parent being hypersexual and self destructive (he’s a scorpio lol and i've got the venus there) and another who viewed it as a necessary job and not much more so (she’s a virgo and i've got the mars there).

so the progress i’ve made with my sexuality to the point where i feel like it’s internally balanced and almost a power source for myself has been huge for me especially because i did it for myself -and i guess the world being unable to see me projecting this pride for this side of myself that i, as it turns out, am utterly in love with bothered me. if i’m making sense.

so thank you for all your replies and for helping me think on this so that i’m able to get to the bottom of what i’m feeling. getting in touch and dating my venus in scorpio side is something that ill defiantly have to put on the to do list once my roster opens up a bit.

really? i've been told that i'm very plutonian? this is by an astrology mate (i'm new) she said its because:

-my 12th house is nearly a stellium and has pallas, lilith, and fotune
-my pluto is in scorpio
-my sun and moon is in the 8th house - making me quite scorpio like even though sun in capricorn which i agree from the descriptions i read
-north node scorpio
-i've got pluto opposition my ascendant

Not that you don't have Scorp influence. I'm sure you do. I'm a 4xSag but I have a lot of Scorpio influence as well.

It would all be much easier to talk about if you put up your chart.

Also, if you go to Astro.com under the different types of charts you can find the Pullen chart. It's a report that if you scroll down you'll see the % of different planets, signs, etc that you are composed of.
