after going through his chart he's pretty much on point with everything except for his mars in leo

he is nothing like his mars in leo (he says) and tbh i don't really see it either.

is there anything on his chart that might be inhibiting/blocking it and is it possible for one sign to cancel out another?

Saturn does not agree with the impulsive energy of Mars. Often delaying the responses of the often "constantly engaged" Mars towards more "fruitful" endeavors-well at least according to its own memo.

I think that the opposition of Saturn to his Mars will serve him career-wise. And for a Moon Taurus/Scorpio/Mars in Leo person,the added help from the Saturn opposition,will help tenaciously realize his goals.

The inhibition however,as with ALL Cap influenced placements, will be in his personal life. Especially in the area of sex and affections.

There could be guilt associated with having sex or feeling it "unnecessary".

This aspect is what I would call the wife who can't put her mind on sexual intimacy (Mars),because she is too worried about the brief she has to write at work tomorrow(Saturn).

With Cap placements, there is always a danger that the "work attitude" will spill over into the personal life and make the Cap placement person concerned seem distant and unreachable.
