This, one of the many aspects in my natal is a huge downer for me other than my Scorpio/conj Pluto placements which are just too much to handle.

What are your experiences with this placement? How has it blocked you in life?

YES, this is one of the harder Saturn placements imo. Creativity is such a wonderful way to deal with the struggles and pains of life. Saturn here may make for a person who cannot let go and just play, as a child. This is really the essence of creativity.

I see Saturn as causing feelings of guilt also.
For example, my Saturn in the 10th. I do call in sick for work but feel guilty for it if I'm sick or not. Half way through the day I think about working a half day.

Maybe you just feel undeserving and/or guilty if you goof around much like you could be getting some important stuff done instead.

My guitar teacher told me I should go on a nude beach to get rid of my inhibitions.

I don't have anything in the 5th House but it is still really hard to let go and just let your beautiful inner child out( and we all have one)

He told me to purposely act crazy, so I can see that it won't kill me.

I am trying to do that. For me, acting crazy is just showing my true self lol

I also have Saturn in the 5th in pisces and I do not fit the description AT ALL. I have no problems with creativity, having fun, or self expression. In fact, it is the complete opposite. I have a problem being serious when I need to be. I am too playful and childlike. So Saturn in the 5th is not always bad. I think the way this placement plays out for me is that I tend to take romances seriously and I would never be the one that would like flings and one nights stands. If I find someone it is usually for a very long time if not for forever. I don't take romances lightly. But in terms of being playful and having fun and letting go, I have no problem with that.

yup, saturn in the 5th here too.
being an actor, it is a hard thing to overcome. saturn tells you to never be satisfied with your work, and that you can never work enough. it truly is a pain.

i have saturn in 5th house too. but mine is in capricorn. (i also have sun and neptune in 5th house) .

i can never relax, i have NO imagination and creativity lol and i'm awful at flirting.

im 26 now. i know i'm still young, but it gets so much better with time. i like the saturn metaphor which says (s)he is a strict teacher. i always dream "her" as an old lady who has enormous knowledge and wants us to be wise just like her, but she is saturn she'll always teach us the hard way.

Great post but you are really overcoming it and it will get better with age. Saturn does that!

My husband has Saturn in Leo and in the fifth house. I dont feel he struggles to express or enjoy life. But then he is EXTREMELY hardworking. When he accomplishes something, only then he would take a day off. I remember once he worked an entire year (including holidays/weekends) and he stayed just two days away from his showroom during that entire year. He equates hardwork to deserving good things in life.
