I'm quite muted compared to other fire dominant people I know. Sun in 8th and moon in 12th.

However... I have a fire dominant Leo friend with Sag ASC and Aries moon... He's pretty docile, a little boring, and reactive rather than proactive, actually

I have my sag sun/venus conjunction in the 8th house. Also I have jupiter in Leo in the 4th house. I'm a dramatic/intense person.
Everything is felt X 1000, or so it seems.

Except for Neptune/Scorpio, I lack Water but compensate for it by having a fire trine in the Water houses.

SN/Sun/Aries/4th house
Uranus/Leo/8th house
Jupiter(chart ruler)Sag/12th house.

I am more grounded and even tempered than moody water. (never understood the moodiness)
I lack Water signs fluid imagination but make up for it with enthusiasm.

I have come to realize that planets in 12th inhibit the general nature of the sign the planet is in and make it more "Piscean" in temperament. Flat out.

Planets in 8th house have a strongly magnetic aura. People tend to want to get all up in this individual's business and want to know more about them.

There is a definite "Scorpio" element to them. That could be coupled with the interest in things "taboo"(excuse the cliche reference) or just plain "creepy".

So witchcraft, voodoo, magic spells, death ,satanic rituals, grave sites, sexual expression, psychology, hypnosis, past life regression, astrology etc. are areas of fascination or deep interest.

The IC, which is so often ignored or glossed over ,is the deepest part of ourselves. The personality at its state of "rest".

So people with planets on the IC,tend to want to create a "home" Not in the physical sense-but this could be one manifestation of the energy. But a place of "belonging".

They understand that "feeling home" is a state of mind, not a geographical location.

So they tend to get active in making wherever they are,a place that feels "home". Where they can be at peace.

This, contrary to popular, may not be the birth home, birth country or anything to do with culture, heritage or related issue.

"Home" is a subjective experience that may/may not have the above included therein.

I think this could also be why the IC is connected to death. Your final "resting place" and the actual grave site.

For the soul, this place called the IC,is the re-entry back to ISNESS. State of bliss!!! Heaven etc.

So the IC is the isht.

I need to comment on the IC and planets located there. I have Uranus on the 3H side and Neptune on the 4H side-5 degrees separating them. I have always looked for my "home" and have traveled quite far, for long durations, to find that "home" but it's always left me feel exhausted and empty in the end. I have now returned, after 18 years, back to my birthplace and I feel emptier than ever. And lost! It struck me one day while out walking that my "home" is more than likely my final resting place ie the next life and whatever happens before that is just preparation. I think Neptune in 4H makes me feel and long for things that are not tangible nor humanly possible to achieve in this lifetime. Some days I am at complete peace with this notion and other days I just want to scream in sheer frustration! I want SO badly to find my Utopian sanctuary.

I think it makes sense for you to not have found a place called "home". Or else to find the concept of it forever elusive. Neptune on the IC can do that.

Now as I stated, the birthplace is not necessarily where one feels "home". Nor is it the connections one has to family ,culture, creed or race etc.

Now with your Neptune on the IC,it could mean that the greater earth is your home. Or that your inability to resonate with any particular place suggests that your concept of "home" transcends all that is physical to emotional realms.

"Home", as I have come to know it,is a state of mind. Not a geographical location. Adopt that belief and anywhere you dwell can be made your "home".

As a Neptune/Jupiter conjunct ruler of the 4th house/IC(Sun)person myself, I know how attractive death/"escape" from this life can be.

Not in the way the 8th-house person sees it.But for people like us,it is the re-entry to peace. And this search of wanting to "belong" is something that has been with me for so long-longer than I can tell you.

I love my family. But god bless them. I just don't feel I "belong" with them. Nor do I feel like I "belong" anywhere else.

Now there is a lovely book that I read once that explained the "contract" between the soul and that which we call God-force.

In this "contract", the soul yearned for, wanted, pleaded for physical experience.

The idea was to experience that which God-force yearns to learn about itself i.e Physical life .

The contract was simple. It was the soul asserting that "I will go forth into physical life force and be the experience of ALL that I know I can be".

This is truly the longing of the soul. To explore EVERY possibility in its search for self-fulfillment.Never-ending. Forever more.

So in its yearning, it had the complete intent to come into physical life form.

So powerful was its intent that it managed to "beat out" its brothers and sisters in its claim and will to be here. This is birth.

But the other end of the "contact",was that Source was to keep account of what the soul really is.

With so much physical life distractions,it was possible for the soul to forget itself as part of Godhead and see itself as "other" i.e separate from Godhead. That state of mind that we have come to know as "hell".

So the yearning for death is natural. We all long to go to our "true" home. But this was not the initial intent of the soul. Not to come into physical life form and then yearn to reverse it all???

So after reading this I realized that the indescribable feeling I was looking for, that feeling of "home" etc. was really alignment, clarity and to live within the joy of the experience of being here.

But I couldn't do that by continually wishing that I wasn't here. That would keep me in state of misery.

Meditation helps.Writing helps a lot. In writing I project the "Utopia" I long for i.e people, places, feelings etc.

But I try not to remove myself too much from the here and now.And by that I don't mean that I inundate myself with the details of "what is" i.e news about deaths, scandals, poverty, oppression, revolutions, wars etc.

I just try to be as happy and content WHEREVER I am and WHATEVER I am "doing".
