I got a request for this article from Luciana. I love requests because I want to know that you like the subject matter.

I am not a man, so this article will be harder for me. I need to get behind the eyes of the aspects of which I write. I am an intuitive Astrologer. Some Astrologers are Intellectual Astrologers. They can write about the placements but they do not seem to FEEL them. For me, I like an Intuitive Astrologer when I am studying Astrology.

My favorite author is Howard Sasportas. I made up these categories myself, but I think they have relevance and may help you to find the kind of Astrologer who is best for you.

Back to the subject!

1. Medusa conjunct the Ascendent

This woman vibes sex. However, she is like the character of Medusa. She draws men in and then she punishes them for wanting her. I have seen this play out in the charts in the exact same manner as the myth. Frankly, I was amazed. However, Astrology continues to amaze me. It is like the Bible, in that one can never comb it, entirely. It will, always, be new and fresh

2. Eros conjunct the Ascendent

This native is erotic. She may not be traditionally beautiful, or she may, but she will have “come hither” vibes

3. Lilith conjunct the MC

This native seems to garner unwanted attention. She is very sexy in a raw way. Lilith is raw sexuality.

4. Lilith conjunct the Ascendent

This native has the same raw sexuality, as the Lilith conjunct the MC native. However, she seems to enjoy it.

5. Venus conjunct Mars

This placement confers effortless charisma.

6. Moon in Cancer

This placement has a fragile, little girl quality that many men like

7. Venus in Gemini

The ultimate flirt

I have not seen Venus conj Medusa in a chart that I did, so can only speculate but I will ask you.

I will put up my medusa article and you tell me what you think.

Then, I will give some thoughts. How does that sound?

Asteroid Picks–Medusa

I am going to get in trouble for this. Medusa is not politically correct. Medusa has a story that people want to change.

Politically correct women don’t like how the Asteroid myths portray women. They want to change what is to what they want it to be.

I won’t change asteroids or anything else to make them more palatable. This is what is wrong with our current society. It is built on lies *Sigh* Why did you get me off on that .

Back to our subject. Medusa is a sad story. I wonder if all these myths are sad because life is sad. What do you think? I am digressing badly. Back to Medusa.

Medusa was beautiful and proud of her beauty. She was vain, but she was young and didn’t know any better than to flaunt her beauty in front of an older woman, whose beauty was waning.

This was an error of youth more than an inherent character flaw in Medusa, in my opinion. At any rate, Medusa had beautiful hair. She made a point to show her beautiful hair to Athena.

Medusa wanted to be admired for her beauty. I think it was as simple as that. I don’ t think there was anything nefarious in it.

Athena was jealous. That is the long and short of it. Athena destroyed Medusas beauty so that men would never look at Medusa again.

Athena turned Medusa into a monster. The twist to the story is that Medusa turned her hatred on men. She lured men to her and then she killed them.

To bring Medusa into current times and a practical situation, I have seen Medusa play out in the charts of women. One woman had almost a classic Medusa story. She had Medusa conjunt the ASC. This woman was vain. She was not a bad person at all. However, she liked to strut her stuff.

I noticed this and would compliment her. She seemed to be asking for compliments for her beauty. As I got to know her better, I saw that she hated the men who responded to her lures. She did lure. Then, she would demean the men that responded. She would call them names and put them down.

I did not say it but thought, “Why do you act provocatively sexy and then get angry when men respond?”

I watched this drama but did not say anything. One day, I mentioned the asteroid Medusa. She had it conjunct her ASC. I

I have made Medusa Asteroid picks when I will see someone who is flaunting her sexuality but then bites men when they respond. If you see this, run to check the Asteroid Medusa and I bet you have your man….. I mean, woman.

first thing that comes to my mind is ... 'maybe that's why my bf's step brother thought i looked like a bunny boiler'

but in all honesty, yes when i look good and make an effort i flaunt it. i did make an effort so why not flaunt and strut. in terms of asking? i'm too proud to do that or to leave hints that i'm wanting a compliment and there i've rarely gotten compliments though so maybe that's why whatever i get i'm appreciative and flattered. i think there has to be quite high levelof pride and ego to bite back like medusa in that story that i don't think i have.

but yeah the bunny boiler assumption by my bf's step bro sticks out in my head. wasn't too happy to hear i was called that :S

but other than that yeah.. i don't have it conjuncting my ascendant but i have venus conjuncting my medusa so i don't really have much of a clue other than what i wrote.

so @amianne any insight or interpretation you have would definitely be welcomed x

@Ami Anne, what you think of Eros opposite Medusa?
Eros is in my first house, 3 degrees away from the ASC, in opposition to Medusa in the 7H.

3 degrees is wide but ambient, I would say. IF the opposition is very close, 1-2 degrees, you may be Medusa like or struggle with this.

What do you think?

OK, C, Venus is a yin planet. Hence, that would conjuncts it is not as easily seen. It is more subtle, so you may have these tendencies to be like Medusa but they will not be seen until people know you well.

Medusa conj the ASC really shows Medusa to the world. The Sun and Mars are yang planets and are the same way.

The Moon is more interior and is not as easily seen by others, only intimates

The opposition has an orb of 1'29'' degrees!
I do feel like men look at me as some sort of sex object because of how I look.
I'm not even "pretty", but I do have a "hourglass" shaped body, although not exactly skinny. I have a Taurus ASC.
I don't really engage with them though.

I have Medusa in Scorpio in my 7th house, opposite my ASC and square my sun in Aquarius.

I always make it a point to a guy that I don't like flattery. It won't get a guy anywhere with me. I look for support from female friends when it is about my looks, and also from my boyfriend. I want to look good for my boyfriend obviously, but it's much more important that I get validity for my good looks(I'm not a conceited person in that way), from friends.

Concerning what drives men wild, it is definitely mutable venuses.
Like I said to my friend...
Virgo venus women have always had a forced kiss happen to them.
Pisces venus women get stalked.
Sagittarius venus women get asked out a lot.
And every guy likes to be around a Gemini Venus.

Yes, the opposition would set up a struggle. You may like to be the Medusa, in one sense, and not like it, at all, in another.

You may go back and forth between the two poles.

Does that fit?

I'd say so!!!! I like to feel "sexy", but hate to receive opinions that were not asked.

Interestingly enough, I had forgotten that Sado and Juno conjunct my sun are squared Medusa, which explains a lot.

@Ami, what you think of the asteroid Anubis?
It conjuncts Eros by 1 degree exactly, and forms a grand square with Medusa, Isis and Juno, all in the 13' degree.
But I don't really know anything about Anubis as an asteroid.
