The rulership book by rex ellis lists friendship as ruler of Venus I remember watching a video on YouTube on the natal aspect mercury conjunct Venus she said mercury is friends and ppl who have this placement have very charming or very attractive friends and that made sense because all my friends have always been very attractive. So I know this is a very researched book but I don't know why Venus is the ruler of friends?? Also its funny how it lists apricots as a ruler why would an astrologer need to know that?

As far as I know friends are ruled by the 11th house.
If Venus rules your 11H, you'd probably attract beautiful, charming people to your network circle.
That's how I know it, at least.

The Rulership Book is by Rex Bills. Venus is the principle of friendship, the capacity to like someone/others and find compatibility as seen in the principles of 7th house, "others", Venus/Libra.

What you are seeing listed in the book under planets are general associations, not the significators in your chart.

There are many potential reasons an astrologer might want to know that Venus is considered by Bills' book to be the ruler of Apricots, Apricot trees. Medical astrologers may have some use for this information. Those using astrology in farming may want to know it as well.

It would be interesting to know how friendship would work with somebody who has Sag Mercury in 1st, Libra Venus in 10th and Scorpio Saturn in 11th house.

You tell me what it should be and I would tell you if it is like that or it is different.

Where is your Mercury ? What is in your 11th house ?

What do you talk with your friends is it very 8th house kind of things ? Sex, death, money, inheritance,etc.
