How true do you think synastry charts are? Could you have good synastry with someone but they still don't show interest in you? Or is it like an automatic subconscious response?

For instance, I have a grand trine with someone I am interested in, and a few other 'good synastry aspects' including a very tight Venus-Uranus trine, (he's Venus, I'm Uranus). We met a few weeks ago and just went on a first date but I can't tell if he's interested or not.

I am wondering if the synastry in two people's charts generates/guarantees interest from both people.

No...It doesn't guarantee interest.

There are particular karmic signs in synastry --- like having very close aspects (both planets on the exact *same* degree) - exact Nodal aspects, some significant asteroid-aspects (Karma, Amor, Valentine, Vesta, Ceres etc), exact Saturn aspects and most importantly the AC/DC, MC/IC and Vertex/Anti-Vertex axes connections, plus Draconic chart connections. All of this can be too much for mere coincidence!

When you meet a person with such aspects - what the synastry guarantees is that there is a tie between you and it's not a tie that will easily break. But there is still no guarantee that your connection will be romantic.

How true do you think synastry charts are?
They are as true as their full inclusiveness of all inter-aspects. Full synastry analysis must include the parallel and contra-parallel aspects of the declinations. I'm one of very few astrologers who does this for every single synastry.

Could you have good synastry with someone but they still don't show interest in you?
Of course.

I am wondering if the synastry in two people's charts generates/guarantees interest from both people.
No.

The example you used of the synastry trines is not an aspect that has a strong push to develop a relationship. The best chances of something developing happen with those aspects that put your planets with the other persons' in a unity dynamic: conjunctions and parallels. Then come trines, sextiles, and yes oppositions (and squares).

What makes a good synastry is:
1) A clear majority of the total synastry aspects are relationally positive.
2) Enough Asc/Moon/Sun bonds with Merc/Venus/Jupiter.
3) Some good Mercury aspects for communication and common interests.

Astrology guarantees nothing -- especially when it involves another person/other people. It shows only potentials.

Probably you will think I'm mad, but.. everytime, before I introduce a friend with another friend, I check their synastry first to know if they will get along or not, and it totally ends up like the synastry showed me.

That is OK, Odette lol

Great minds can disagree!

I think that aspects for attraction WILL be attracted.

I think aspects for best friends will feel like best friends.

I like aspects for soul bonding will feel soul bonding.

I think I can look at a synastry and give a history to the people of how it went.

I have done that with several of my clients.

I told them the history of the relationship by looking at the synastry.

Maybe, one could not do this in all synastries because some are not clear enough but the few in which I did it were right on lol

My answer is also yes.

Yes, strong synastry will show attraction, the persons involved being drawn to and/or standing out to each other. However, it may not lead to a romantic relationship. Yes, it will be hard to ignore each other.

Often free will/LOA is at play. You might have wished for something/someone, but when they show up you've since changed your mind or they didn't quite fit the bill.
