Today, I've been looking up videos on Saturn and reading articles about it. I've learned a few things that are not usually attributed to Saturn. One of them would be Saturn representing your darkest fears. Usually, we hear this attributed to Pluto and that may be true for the most part, but with Saturn, I think that the fear stems from extreme insecurity. In this way, it is different from Pluto. Pluto is more like fear of change and the unknown. Saturn is just plain fear out of paranoia with the things that we already have seen or experienced, and because of that, we tend to withdraw from the things that Saturn represents in our chart.

For example, I have my Saturn in Aries in the 11th house. I have to admit, my greatest fear is to stand in front of a crowd and be ridiculed and criticized for what I do. I have not experienced such a thing yet in large cases, but I have experienced it in class a couple of times back in elementary school. I was appointed to lead and teach my classmates about something and then a couple of aggressive annoying rebellious kids from my class started mocking me for no reason, except that they didn't wanna do the work. I felt overpowered and that is why I try as much as possible to not be in that situation ever again. It hurt me deeply even though I did not show it. I have Cancer moon and that sorta made it worse. My Mars in Libra (5th house) stands in opposition to my Saturn. Being a lover of the arts and an aspiring performer, I feel like I can never truly shine the way my Mars wants to because of that same fear. I hope that when my Saturn return hits, I will face Saturn's challenges and conquer these fears.

What about you guys? Where's your Saturn at and what's it doing? Have you had your Saturn return yet?

Please feel free to share. I like reading about experiences. Thanks

Yeah, I've read somewhere about Saturn representing this kind of fears.
I have Saturn in Pisces.
I read that it can represent fear of the supernatural, like ghosts or something.
I admit, ghosts do leave me paranoid.

My Saturn is in the 11H like yours.
I'm afraid of what people think of me in public.
I'm afraid they might think there's something wrong with me, with how I look or dress or whatever, and that they'll mock me for it.

My Saturn Return will come right before yours!

I've found it to not only be SATURN himself in placement, but the house that he rules which has sway indicating the largest realm of our inborn fears.

I have Saturn in Aquarius 9th house.

Capricorn rules my 9th house.
Aquarius rules my 10th house.

Saturn squares my Sun, Mars, and Ascendant.

Fear associated with higher learning and the father?

My father has been in and out physically, but he's always been there for me and in my life one way or another.

I'm coming up on my last year of college this Fall.

I use the Equal House system btw.

If I would've used placidus, Saturn would've been in my 10th house with Uranus and Neptune falling in my 9th house instead of the 8th house using the Equal House System.

i'm saturn in pisces in the 11th house too! and yes! i have the same fears! i'm always afraid of accidentally coming into contact or having to deal with malevolent spirits etc and i'm trying to find a way to deal with that right now

and when it comes to my 11th house, well i'm better now because i was forced to face that fear. no choice in that matter, it wasn't fun but i am defiantly better. still though i avoid confrontation like a mofo and often hate being a group situation because it means i might be overpowered

what does that saturn return mean for us?

Mine is in the 4th, I am afraid to be hurt emotionally on a deep level and invest my emotions into things. I opened up in the past to people only to be rejected and abandoned/feeling worthless. Now I avoid any kind of emotional attachment to things/people unless time shows me people will not mess with me emotionally, its extreamly hard for me to feel at ease and relaxed and show my true self to people. I was emotionally bullied in high school.

Saturn conjuncts Venus in 4th.
Saturn inconjunct Virgo moon 11th.

I absolutely hope that I'm never broke!! I'm always trying to save up and get sad if I spend a few bucks on food haha. It's also awful because I want to buy cute clothes but I want to save money more. I'm always thinking about the rainy days haha

Saturn, ruler of the 6H, in Virgo in the 2H. Fear of illness and being out of control of what's going on in the body. I was sick constantly as a child, wasn't fed properly. Was borderline anorexic for a time. I'm very health conscious and into good nutrition. Fear of not having enough money. Used to have fear of the part of me that generated extreme self judgment, overcome after Saturn return.

square pluto
conjunct mercury(6 degrees)(rules 7th)
conjunct venus(rules 2nd house)(4 degrees)
square 2nd house
capricorn 11th house

i had social anxiety and i was terrified often of having to say anything to anyone, even if it was just a greeting sometimes,i basically spent my teenage years by myself.
and im very affraid of being withouth money, i too save all the money i can and hate spending any money, ive been saving since i was 12.

i have a deep fear of ending up in a mental institution or jail.but most of the 12th house doesn't scare me.

this is interesting! i have saturn in the 11H also...except i really dont care what people think of me to the point that sometimes i make myself look crazy haha i should care a little more but whatever..i have aries rising, maybe thats why...where i see saturn come into play is the fear of commitment with relationships and friendships, i dont like that burden of being that one to always be there for that person because i tend to attract needy people and people who need lots of attention. it sounds bad but yea...things get done so much faster if i just do it myself sometimes and i dont like relying on people

Saturn in 7th Pisces, conjunct my moon and mercury.

I fear not being good enough in a relationship. Being smothered, or being made a fool of. Attachment scares the hell out of me. I never want to get into a situation where I don't know the guy I married any more. I have a feeling I'll be stuck there. I'm cautious in love.

I have read that this placement either doesn't care or thinks too much about how society views them. I feel that I fluctuate between the two. I'm not into making group commitments either lol (unless I have to ofc)

Lol that sounds like an awesome manifestation of that placement. It means you never have to worry about completely running out of money

Interesting... I think the ruler of the house does influence where Saturn is in. Come to think of it, my Saturn rules my 8th house in Cap. I'm terribly scared of the dark and other "dark" scorpio things.

Yes, I wouldn't have mentioned the house ruler if Blind writer hadn't brought it up. Thanks, Blind writer!

I think fear of the dark is at least partly fear of the unknown. I wonder with Saturn ruling the 8th or in the 8H if there's also a fear of losing oneself and being vulnerable, because of the 8H connection with sexuality and merging in a deep way with another person.

There's another thing which I think is significant about Saturn in the 2H, at least in my case and the way it played out.

I associate the 2H with the oral stage of development, which in psychology has to do with the taking in of needs, and includes the need for nourishment and receiving affection. Freud associated the oral stage from birth to the first year of life, but it may go on longer. I was separated from my mother at age 2, so there was a disruption at the oral stage, which I find interesting given Saturn's placement in the 2H. I don't have any fears associated with food or receiving affection, but for a long time it was hard to receive either compliments or things from other people.

The reason why my 11H PISC Saturn cares so much about what other people think is the exact square to 8H SAG Moon.
Besides, the sign of the 11H Saturn makes a lot of difference.
In my case, Pisces there just wants to be understood and to fit somewhere, but feels left out.

I guess Saturn will "compensate" us.
After making us deal with what scares us, we'll be able to be more confident around such things.
In the 11H Saturn case: more confident and comfortable around groups, I'd say.
The feeling of loneliness will begin to go away.

My Saturn return was a rough ride (and the very worst, IIRC, was when Saturn squared Pluto but I can't remember for sure which planet it was actually squaring so it may have been something other than Pluto). It's a very long story that I don't feel like getting into now.

Long story short my natal Saturn is conjunct my sun in 3H Libra, and during my Saturn return I was essentially forced to move to where I wasn't sure of anything and had the neighbors from hell who were trying to break us apart and even make us homeless as well as being menacing (like giving the kids religious pamphlets for them to read and then bring home to us on why they were duty bound to hate us and deserved to be put to death).

However, we passed the test of Saturn and as a result we weren't broken, we instead became closer than ever and ended up leaving for the best home any of us have ever lived in, one made of happy memories instead of crappy. It was painful but now that it's over I'm glad it happened.

Thanks, Saturn.

I have Saturn in the 9th house...the only thing I can think of being afraid of is not being remembered as kind, warm, with a smile on my face when I die. Sounds crazy but it's true!

That's interesting. Of course, it would make sense for the 2nd house to represent the oral stage of development as Taurus naturally rules this house and Taurus needs security and comfort. A child cannot develop unless there is someone to nurture it and make it feel safe and secure while it's growing as human being. In your case, Saturn deprived you of the security and comfort you needed as a child by separating you with your mother.

Tell me, have you had your Saturn return yet? And if so, did it reconnect you with your mother in some form?

Hope it's not too personal.
