Topic: How and why are Libras and Aquarius compatible?

I've never really understood, lol my best friend is an Aquarius, Gemini Moon..But I don't understand how Aquarius and Libra are compatible if Aquarius likes to be detached, Libras on the other hand, we like to be with someone always and hate being alone. Aquarius likes to socialize in groups while Libra just likes one-on-one with other people. But honestly I think it differs rather if it's the Sun or Moon in Aquarius, to me it seems more the Aquarius moons are the detached ones and the Aquarius Suns aren't really. I'm a Libra Moon but I don't ever really get along with Aquarius Moons, most of the ones I've dealt with act like they don't care about anything and like they have no feelings. But I'm a sucker for Gemini moons... We always click. But anyways can anyone analyze this for me? How are Libra and Aquarius compatible? Whether it's Sun-Sun or Moon-Moon. EDIT: I meant to post this in Interpersonal Astrology.. Smh.

Yes, of course I know that... But I mean personality wise, I'm not talking about elements right now. What about Libra's personality compliments Aquarius's? Or vice versa.. What do they have in common? Besides the simple fact that they are air signs.IP: Logged |

The thing is that Libra is capable of understanding.Besides, Libras are quite social as well.
They're able to hang out in groups with no problem.
What you're talking about is how they >connect<.
Yes, Libra connects to the person, Aquarius connects to the group.
That doesn't mean they're not able to understand each other. One of my best friends is a Libra with Sag Moon.
I'm an Aquarius with Sag Moon.

I agree I don't really think they do click.
I have a libra AC, Pluto, Venus
Libra is my chart ruler...aquarius sun signs are way to cold for my taste.
My daughter is aquarius in a stellium and of course I love her to death but to be in a relationship with her...she would lack the warmth I need to really feel loved in a relationship.She is very expressive regarding her love for me, but it's still so detached...which is cool as my daughter, actually it's perfect especially with my virgo moon neither of us are overly "huggy" type ppl. But in a relationship I'm all libra and I need to feel the warmth.
Her boyfriend is absolutely perfect for her, his aqua Venus sits on her stellium
And her cap stellium sits on his cap sun.
They show almost no emotion but you can tell they are deeply bonded. They seem quiet, distant and aloof most the time...not emotionally expressive at all but yet, they can't live without each other.
They are both very content just quietly helping each other take care of responsibilities and doing things together. They break out in little giggle feasts sometimes, usually it's her that breaks out laughing and him(typical cap) only half way cracking a smile but you see the joy in his eyes. They are just perfect for each other but it's very controlled. Libra wants the passion to be vibrant and alive, aquarius just isn't into that as much. IP: Logged |

You should pay more attention to rising signs when it comes to stuff like this. Moon just shows how we emotionally absorb things. Rising signs on the other hand are what we bring to the world and our conditions throughout life. IP: Logged |

Now this is my own personal opinion, I don't see how either would or could work together. I know the entire chart is to be taken in consideration along with the synastry but even then I don't get it. Yes air is compatible with air but sometimes is it really? I am both water and air heavy according to that alone you'd think I'd get along really well with them, wrong! There has only been one Aqua that I've meshed well with IRL and I personally know quite a few. I grew up with one and we fought like cats and dogs, and he his 25+ years older than me. I'm much more attracted to Fire/Water types. I don't get the Aquarian energy at all. IP: Logged |

In my experience, Libra-Aquarius are in love, but not very compatible.
Ironically Aries-Aquarius are compatible, but not very in love lol

It's a meeting of the minds. Libra's like how they think, Aqua's like their charm, attention etc. It's really good for a platonic friendship imo.Romance wise, I notice Libra's can leap too quickly. The general description of Libra (and that includes by Linda Goodman, btw) is that Libras are social who like interacting with groups, though Libra does long for a special partner (partnerships of all kinds, really, not just romantic). Libra works best with many people to help balance their scales...and also alone time when that's what is needed for balance (IOW, Libra don't hate being alone, we need it at times or we'll become warped, just as too much time alone warps us). My Aquarian BFF understands that and that's one reason we can get along, when I need to balance my scales by myself she lets me and when her Pisces moon/stellium gets overwhelmed so she needs to retreat I let her. We don't guilt each other into spending more time with the other (and as a result the time we do spend together is awesome). And some consider Libra detached as well, because we're inclined to try to see the point of view of others (unless other aspects change that, like a lot of Scorpio or Cancer), sometimes even over ourselves and our friends which is hard for some people to understand (or even forgive). Well between my best friend (Aquarius) and her ex-boyfriend (Libra), I saw that the guy was more attached and emotional than my best friend was. He was clingy and he would literally cry if they fought and she acted like she didn't care. Ironically though, it was him who was more flirtatious and even cheated on her even though he seemed attached to her. Most of their fights involved him talking to a lot of other girls and my best friend talking to her guy friends (genuinely). He would flirt and send pictures to other girls, but would get mad if my best friend hung out with her buddies. I thought he was probably the dumbest guy I've ever met. My best friend was loyal to him and he had the nerve. To me, Libras and Aquarius have enough common interests to ignite a spark, but for the relationship to last, it all depends on how they handle the it. And honestly, I never saw how Libra and Aquarius were compatible in the first place--according to their stereotypes. Libras are described as these peace-loving people who like to surround themselves with beauty and do not like any sort of imabalance. With the Aquarius description, they're rebellious, thus disturbing peace, and they like anything that throws everything out of balance. It seems to me that they clash even in stereotype. IP: Logged |

^^My Aquarian BFF had many whiny, guilt tripping, clingy guys (a couple who made it so I could appreciate cruel jokes about musicians in garage bands) attach themselves to her who played all sorts of mind games as well as treat her like crap and by blatant double standards. We both blamed her Pisces stellium (including moon and Mars) for that. I'd step in assuming she didn't stop me as she had the delusion she could change him, that he just needed some understanding. I have a Libra Moon and Aquarius Venus. I'm not compatible with myself, boohoo. And seriously, Aquarian energy is welcome in my life, at least when it comes to friendship. I suspect though that I'd need something in Aqua or Sun/ASC conjunct Uranus to fall for someone. When it comes to Libra, I can see it work only if it's the Moon or Mars, trine my Venus or conjunct my Moon.------------------

Honestly I think taking the whole chart into consideration is huge... Like there are three people I know with the exact same birthday, even year, just born at different times. I'm friends with two of them. Interactions between charts matter, not just sun signs. If it were the case, then I'm NOT supposed to get along with all of them since my sun squares theirs. ^ I agree, the whole chart + synastry should be considered.What might help you out a little bit further though, is to look at where aquarius falls in your chart and where your libra placements fall into theirs. This shows how people with placements here might fall into and effect your life. ex. Air placements fall into all my water houses. Thus, its easier for people with placements here to easily feel me out. Looking at which house exactly might give you a better idea as well. IP: Logged |

As a Gemini, I don't typically do well with other air sign suns, but they need to have some air or fire placements that respond to my sun.I think it's just a broader case of why people born on the same date don't do well. I'm an Aquarius man and all the positive relationships I've been in were with girls that had Libra sun or other prominent Libra placements.
I like Libras because of their balance as cliche as that may sound. By that I mean they can be just as feminine and sweet as any other girl but still be outspoken and independent. They can be affectionate and loving but aren't overbearing or clingy. In other words, just right.
Libras have a lot of good qualities that I appreciate. However, there is one thing I've noticed about Libras that impresses me more than anything else. It's how they approach relationships in general.The ones I've had experience with seemed to see relationships as a 50/50 thing, a two way street. One thing that has always annoyed me about most girls is how they expect a guy to always be the one to call/text them. The Libras girls I've been with have been the only ones that would actually pick up the phone and call or text me! Simple gestures like that can make or break a relationship and they understand that. When someone calls you it shows that they actually value the relationship enough to invest time and effort into it.
As for Aquas and Libras being a match in general? I think it's a great match. The two signs share similarities like being intellectual, friendly,and both can see the good in everyone for the most part. Yes, the two do have some big differences. Libras will shut their mouths to keep the peace while an Aquarius would rather tell it like it is, even if it might result in conflict. But from what I've seen the two signs generally respect each others differences and sometimes they might even admire them. IP: Logged |

I LOVE libras! 2 of my ex's were libras one was even libra sun conjunct ascendant idk what it is but i vibe well with libras i like how they have a social air about them and i can easily have conversations with them i love there need for balance because at times i can be an extremist and i need someone to help influence me to balance my one cousin whos like a brother to me is a libra ascendant trine my aqua ascendant we get a long very well and i enjoy his companyIn my opinion libras like to have fun and for the most part never seem quiet to me and my sag mercury/venus likes that but i think the biggest thing is that my aquarius moon is in the 3rd decan ruled by venus and libra so i feel libran at times and i have jupiter in libra and it exactly sextiles my mercury so i feel like i actually think like a libra at times I do believe libra and aquarius can be compatible i just think you have to factor in how the aquarius is because there are many different types of aquas i know that for a fact haha so the more warm and social upbeat aquas should connect well with libras and maybe the more analytical and to themself aquas might not like libras flirty attitude and pull away, this is just my opinion not facts

Aquarius Sun, Libra stellium here (inc. AC).I have gotten bored very quickly in relations with Libra men UNLESS they touch my Pluto or Venus (they are squared). I need depth in a relationship as Pluto is strong in my chart. Regardless of sun, moon, venus, etc positions, if a relationship activates my Pluto, I'm paying attention. So, really, I think it may come down to the strength of a planet in your chart, whether that is activated by the other, and not simply sign-compatibility. IP: Logged |
