Can someone please explain why articles say that Saturn is transitting in Sagittarius' 1st House, but in my chart it is actually going into 11th house. I find this a little confusing and would appreciate some input on what is probably something simple to understand. Thankyou.IP: Logged |

That's referring to Sagittarius rising. Saturn is transiting Sagittarius, therefore, in the first house of people with 0-4 degrees Sagittarius Ascendant.IP: Logged |

The reason is because Sag should be your 11th house (I'm a Cap ascendant too). You might experience some lessons in friendship, and decide you do not want superficial or meaningless relationships- this transit will wipe them out. It is possible you may feel lonely during this transit as well. Any group or organization you are part of will be tested as well, and perhaps some of your ideals will change. Yes, this confused me profoundly when I first started researching astrology in-depth. 
All of these predictive horoscopes are placing the Sun Sign in the 1st House and they take it from there. So their analysis will be true for a very limited number of people, as the 1H sign is determined by the Ascendant, and depending on the Ascendant's degree, the sign can be covering varying parts of the 12H and 1H. Well, this depends also on the type of system you use; whole house system, equal, Koch etc. And its quite a process. So stay with this; With Saturn currently transiting the sign of Sagittarius,you should look for sensitive points(Angles) and planets that are likely to be affected by it. Is the Sun in aspect with Saturn? What houses does the Sun rule? Look to the Leo cusp (which is most likely to be found in the 8th house when Cap is Ascending). thanks aries, well Saturn transit is in wide conjunction 5a to natal mercury scorp, 1s conjunction with natal neptune, 0s sextile natal pluto,0a semisextile Asc.just cusping 10th heading into 11th. It won't be on the sun for a while as the sun is in 12th. neptune rules the 2nd and mercury rules 5th and 8th and mercury is posited in 10th and neptune 11th. As an add on, natal saturn is in 5th and soon the saturn opposition is coming! Its a trying time for sure thus far! Regards
