This is something a friend of mine said to me recently.
I wondered whether it is simply a uranian thing or something else in the chart that might reflect this attitude.
His motto is "don't ever let anyone tell you how to live your life" This person feels entitled to cheat on his gf and play around - so I've heard! eeeeeek

what do we think?

I have uranus conjuncting my ASC and I don't take lightly to people telling me what to do. Are there any other placements that would suggest this attitude?

I have the same placement as you - Uranus on Asc..

I know I'm freespirited and don't like to be told or boxed into a mold... BUT I know the difference between good and bad. I like to be morally correct still.

He just purely doesn't sound like a nice man.

ah interesting that you have the same!

He's young and hopefully he will learn!
I like to be morally correct mostly...but sometimes I hate to admit I can be pretty selfish and not always do the right thing by others.

I have a Mars-Uranus conjunction in a Sag stellium that makes it difficult for me to conform, and in my youth I could be very challenging to others (my Leo ASC probably egged on my Sag, as does sextile Pluto).

However, that doesn't mean treating people like crap. (Well it can, but you can also obey the laws and rules and still treat people like crap as many do and many rules and laws were INTENDED to do when created, some lawyers make a nice living screwing people over within the rules and laws and make even more rules and laws so they can make even more profits without actually helping the public, and corporations and the like will also hire teams of lawyers for the same unfair benefits but within the rules. Likewise, it's not unknown for people to break rules and the laws to HELP people and promote positive changes in society rather than to harm or exploit others.) Rebels can be motivated by both noble and ignoble reasons as anyone else.

That said, plenty of people who generally conform, stick to rules, believe in predictability and that authority must be obeyed lest violent anarchy reign often respond poorly to anyone who issues commands imperiously to them. Even a woman who loves to take care of her man will likely bristled if coldly ordered, "Make me a sandwich, woman." And even those who respect authority may very well check to see if you HAVE any authority you assume before taking orders (and they may seek a different authority if the present authority is too obnoxious, especially if the said authority is abusing power or failing to live up to standards that s/he demands others live up to, the classic "do as I say, not as I do" type).

One thing I'm not sure if you're clear on, however: does he actually "cheat" or does he state openly that he's not going to do something? Because if he states that he's not going to be tied down to monogamy, say, or other restrictions then he's not cheating because his conditions are stated outright and he's playing by them, though he is being rebellious.

As far as I know, the gf has no idea this is happening! He just feels that as humans we should be able to "explore". So it got me thinking about how this might come about astrologically.
