Who only sticks to the closest family members/friends and who doesn't like to keep family close and only have friends strewn across the globe?

As an example: I don't have any friends in same city and barely in same country and being close to my family suffocates me. On the other hand, my SO is the exact opposite!

I am curious what aspects would present this.
