Sun in 4th house. For some reason all the people I meet with this placement are very interested in traveling. It's like they have to explore EVERYTHING. I am this way. How would you describe this in your life?

I have my Sun in the 4th house and I'm very much a homebody, for now. If I ever decide to travel, I won't be gone for long.

I think you should also consider other factors.

The 4th house cusp is "the seat of the soul" and is our place of "rest".

So the Sun will bring the affairs of the house that it rules here. But it'll also follow wherever the ruler of that house is placed.

So if the ruler of the 4th house cusp is in the 9th. Then travelling may be one of the avenues where this person feels like their soul has found a foothold.

It gets more complicated if the ruler of the 9th house is in the 8th.

This may suggest that there could be a trans-formative effect had by travelling, travelling could burn his pocket(8th) or the person could meet up with an accident/death whilst travelling.

If the Moon afflicts the Sun, there could be some "torn" part of themselves and possible regret that they were not able to merge two areas of life that they cared about into one cohesive unit.

If Moon was in the 10th for instance, they may die feeling like they didn't quite self-actualize.

The Moon sign will give details as to what area this "self-actualization" didn't happen. But it is an area that they cared a great deal for(Moon)

As the 10th house doesn't always mean "career". It could also mean the person we were aspiring to become in the eyes of others, our elevated status or the things that we wanted to achieve/remembered for.

Wow, sounds complicated but somehow true?:S I am virgo sun in 4th house opposite my pisces moon in 10th house... does this mean I'll die feeling I didn't self-actualize? Can you please explain this!!!

I am very much a homebody, but I also enjoy going out and travelling very much. I really love exploring other places and especially other peoples homes. I love to go into new homes and see how they designed their home and to feel "home" myself. I am not often at home myself actually, but it feels like I still havn't "found my home". It's kinda confusing lol...

Feeling like you haven't quite found "home" or not feeling "home" , is not unusual for someone who has their 4th house cusp in Virgo.

The Virgo cusp anywhere in the chart,is where we are especially anal and want things to be "perfect".

But the way that Virgo judges "perfection" is through physical form; sentences, expression of thoughts, design, collaboration etc. All things EXTERNAL.

But "home" is not something "external" that one can point to. It is unequivocally a feeling. Not an intellectual "knowing".

So with Asc in Gemini (and less so with late Taurus Asc),one may embark on a lot of travelling (mostly short distances),to intellectually understand what the meaning of "home" is.

I think the broad term here is "belonging" As Gemini often asks him/herself intellectually;" Where do I belong?" OR "What is the meaning of belonging?" etc.

That is why Cancer is on the 2nd house cusp of things they value.Cancer is all about "belonging".

The Asc in Gemini will often look for more clarity from their partners; ask their partner(7th Sag) what "home" is? Want to understand what "belonging" is intellectually etc.

And their partner can definitely help in expanding their view(Jupiter) intellectually and getting them to understand the "gist" of what it is that they are searching for.

But even so,the Gemini Asc(and late Taurus rising)is hardly ever settled: Always searching for that ever elusive feeling(Jupiter ruled Pisces Mc) that is forever beyond their reach.

This is why Gemini Asc is essentially a very restless Asc(barring 4th house/Mc influences)

I mean who can be settled when they have Mercury-ruled busy body Virgo as their "seat of the soul"? And the "all things evasive" Pisces MC as the goal of what they want to understand?

So with your Sun in Virgo in 4th,this is a question you will progressively want to answer definitively as you get older. Especially after the age of 30.

Is my home where I belong? Am I a part of my physical surroundings? Will perfecting my home(decor, style, design, furniture) evoke an even deeper appreciation of it? Who am I without it? What is that feeling that I "peace" of home" that I am searching for really? etc.

But as I pointed out, the word here truly is "belonging".As all Sun in 4th house- no matter the placement, are looking for emotional intimacy and holistic caring.

The Asc in Gemini/Taurus rising specifically however, are really in search of the eternal "came from"(Pisces MC).

Not the one that gave birth to them(Virgo IC),but the one that had them know+feel that they belong HERE etc.

Somewhere in birth, they forgot the feeling(Pisces) and even though they had their earth mother emphasize(and probably in great detail Virgo) that this is where they "belong", that this is their "home", that this is their family etc.

In any case, the Sun in Virgo may know this "belonging" intellectually. But they are looking to understand it holistically.

You might have to check if there are afflictions to your Sun also.Because this may eliminate some of the intellectual focus spoken of here.

And the ruler of the Sun (Mercury's sign) may also influence the manner of probe one has.

But since your Sun/Moon are in opposing houses(hopefully also in aspect).

This points to a Virgo that may have to find balance between intellect and feeling. Never dismissing one for the other.

So with this Virgo, that seemingly illusive feeling(Pisces MC),is brought very much closer to self(Sun).

And when one can manage to achieve balance between the feeling of going "out there"; searching for that spiritual "knowing"(Pisces Mc) etc.

One must also bear in mind that their self-actualization(Sun) and personality expression, are also from being able to intellectually understand what all that searching tangibly means(Sun in Virgo).

It is your "job" Sun in 4th house Virgo, to enlighten the rest of us as to what true "belonging" is?

Well.Get to it.We are all waiting???

Sun (conjunct IC), Chiron, Venus, and NN in 4th.

I *thought* I was a homebody, but I'm not one at all lol. I've noticed over the years that I actually get antsy when I'm inside too long (especially on nice days). I'm always inviting friends out to walk around campus, go to the arcade, go to some show, etc. and I'm RARELY in my room for extended periods of time other than to sleep/take naps (I don't even like studying in my room most of the time). Even if no one else wants to do anything, I'll still grab my phone and my headphones and just walk around for a bit until I'm ready to go back in lol. I do have some days where I just need to recharge and I'll stay in, but I'm mostly out and about 8/10.

One of my biggest goals in life is to travel so that definitely fits me . I'm mainly working this summer to save for travel during both my winter and spring break next year lol. I also plan to to teach and volunteer abroad after I'm done with college.
