Just because, or is it because of the low self-esteem complex Saturn squares can bestow?

Venus-Saturn aspects like this generally lead people to take relationships and the giving of affection seriously. But the work of self-esteem sometimes preempts a more social and relational outlook.

Occasionally Venus-Saturn people will seem detached and cold, but that is most often outer coating, not their true inner self.

But it acts as a wall to love and affection, basically...? What aspect (whether natally or synastry-wise) would compliment a Venus / Saturn square?

I have Venus square Saturn. I always feel insecure. ( but for an outsider it's impossible to see )

Due to this insecurity, we might act detached and cold.

I just need to know that I am truly loved and wanted. How can one proove his love to me ? Saying I love yous is not enough. I need more than words.. Example; it was my nephews birthday and I did not know what to buy her as a present, my guy made a suggestion and then kept calling stores to see where we can get it. Him doing this meant a lot to me. I felt closer to him...

Also, when you compliment to me, I might act like a rabbit in your headlight. I can freeze. I know it's stupid. If the person who compliments openly question it instead of withdrawing, I will explain my inability and tell how much I like receiving his compliments...

Be honest, be open, be affectionate..

I'm not speaking of verbal compliments I mean what aspects in someone else's chart would play nice with a Venus / Saturn square.

Mercury to Venus (trine?) might help with communication. Not the square that is the opposition to Saturn though, unless it completes a cross.

Jupiter touching Saturn perhaps?

I wouldn't say any one aspect can compliment that square (or whatever the aspect), because at the end of the day, the holder of the aspect is the one who has to deal with it, so it's their emotional honesty and maturity that are important, here.

I wouldn't associate hard Venus/Saturn aspects with low self-esteem necessarily (although they often point to that) but to the fear of loving and losing or being loved and losing that love.
There can be such an intense fear of loss, that they refuse to take chances or put themselves out there. Or if they do, they do it with much cautiousness and a closed heart, which prevents them from truly feeling love (and therefore the expression of love can be limited, or seem contrived).

That being said, in synastry, any planet/placement that makes an aspect to both Venus and Saturn can trigger those energies and thus make the holder of the aspect aware of that part of them. Another's planet that creates a T-square would be especially potent, although possibly quite challenging (depending on how the person with the Venus/Saturn square experiences that square).

On another note, such people generally enjoy (or at least, are attracted to/attract) Saturnian folks, especially those with an "integrated" Saturn or Capricorn energy (as opposed to their own Saturn energy, which may very well not be well or fully integrated). But then again attraction to other Saturnian types who also struggle with Saturn is a possibility (not necessarily Saturn/Venus struggles, but for example Saturn/Mars or Saturn/Sun, etc).

But if you really want some aspects that could "complement" that energy, I'd go with flowing aspects between Saturn and the personal planets (goes back to the idea of an integrated Saturn).

Natally, I'd say Jupiter aspecting Venus or the Moon (especially supportive aspects or a conjunction) or an overall well-aspected Moon and/or DSC ruler.
