I have Pluto 0 degrees in Sagittarius (8th house).
I fear losing personal autonomy, whether it's through some mental illness, or under the influence of psychedelic substances. In the case of the latter, I've always exerted some level of restraint during my psychedelic experiences. I need to make a conscious effort to let go.

Now with this one you definitely nailed the erratic father figure. Yes to fearing upheaval in the career as well. I think a lot of the more intense planets in 10th house lead to father issues, though (unfortunately).

Pluto in the eleventh, at 11° Virgo...

You can't be a non-conformist if you don't wear the right uniform, or a hipster if you don't scorn the same things the other hipsters scorn.

Do you leave the man lying on the floor when you're pretty sure he's just sleeping off a drunk, or call 911, when you're pretty sure the policeman is going to arrest the man rather than help him?

Or this line from Men In Black:

Kay: A person is smart. People are dumb, panicky dangerous animals and you know it. Everything they've ever "known" has been proven to be wrong. A thousand years ago everybody knew as a fact, that the earth was the center of the universe. Five hundred years ago, everybody knew that the Earth was flat, and fifteen minutes ago, you knew that humans were alone on it. Imagine what you'll know tomorrow.

A pox on cliques! Groups reduce people to the lowest common denominator. People are individuals.

Oh, did I mention my Uranus is loosely conjunct Pluto?

Another 8th H here.
The whole thing about death is my fascination. I don't know what my fear regarding this placement. I'm not really bothered about soulmate/twinflame stuff. You come into this world alone and die alone. But it's true that I cannot stand superficial people. LOL I find them boring.
One can exercise unconditional love towards plants, animals or strangers. It does not have to be your lover/partner.

I know, but everyone is so different and so are his needs. My Pluto is in Libra, a sign that needs to have a partner, loves family. I think it makes sense on that. On which sign is your Pluto?

I told him that I never joined a sorority in college because I never wanted to be in a position of being too weak to help someone who was bullied, of having to stand on the sidelines while someone was being hurt and having too much fear of my own rejection to help.

When I said it, I realized that this was my Pluto. I have Pluto in the 11th and I am afraid of being made to go along with a group who is inflicting evil and of staying silent. That is the fear of Pluto in the 11th. Let’s examine the fears of the other positions of Pluto, by House.

The Fears of Pluto in the Houses

First House
The fear of this native is not being in control. Conversely, the First House Pluto is an amazing leader because he has a natural sense of authority. He was born a leader. He does not have to try to be a leader. He IS a leader.

Second House
This native fears financial upheaval. He has had his share and he wants to have a life of material security and the sense of safety it engenders.

Third House

This native will tell you what he thinks. Don’t ask if you look fat in that bathing suit. Hence, the Third House Pluto fears being squelched. He has the innate drive to tell the truth and it would be likened to being imprisoned for him to be silenced.

Fourth House
This native has, likely, had a tumultuous early home life. Hence, he craves a home in which there is order, which allows for emotional and physical safety.

Fifth House

This native may be a powerhouse in the world of romance. However, his greatest desire is for free, creative expression. Having to conform to an external standard in which his creativity was squelched would be tantamount to a prison for him.

Sixth House

This native may have had health issues. They may of been of a serious nature. I am not sure what his fears may be. He seems as if he has a gravity that is unique to the Sixth house Pluto. I would like your input on this.

Seventh House

This native, usually, has shake ups with marriage. He desires marriage but it seems as if rocky relationships follow him like Pig Pen’s cloud. His fears may, likely, be that he will never have a marriage that is stable and not tortuous.

Eighth House

This native is a very passionate person. There would be little chance that this native would be attracted to shallow or superficial people. I am not sure what his fears may be. It may be that he fears he will not find someone with which to share his passions. I would like to hear from the Eighth House people on this one

Ninth House

This native will have a strong desire to find God. He will have a strong desire to find answers to the questions of life, such as “Why am I here and what is my purpose?” Hence, I imagine this native would fear that he may not find the answers in a way that he can have a modicum of peace.

Tenth House

This native may have upheaval in the sphere of career. The father may have been an erratic figure. This native may fear that his life as a member of society may, always, be marked with tempests.

Eleventh House

I am an Eleventh House Pluto, as I said earlier. I think we fear being forced to conform to a social group that is doing evil, while we stay silent. I wanted to be a Social Psychologist but did not pursue this because teaching was the only real professional opportunity. However, the Eleventh House Pluto wants to understand how groups and societies go bad/turn evil.

Twelfth House

This native may have a secret side. This native seems to have some form of double life, whether it be a double life such as in the novel “Finding Mr Goodbar” in which the main character was an first grade teacher by day and a frequenter of the bar scenes by night or, simply, feeling that one’s secrets are too shameful to share. In reality, most secrets only haunt us when they are unshared. However, this native finds this hard to truly understand and hence, likely, feels isolated in his deepest soul. For this native, he may fear that he will be revealed as someone who is “different than others”

But what about the aspects, some of us with Pluto in the 11/12 area have Pluto sextile Neptune. Some of that group have nice inner planet transits and some do not.
Years later it is a different outer planet in aspect to that 12th or any house pluto.
I think this type of astrology slowed my learning. Just a thought.Pluto through the houses by itself is not a reflection or indicator of a persons upbringing in which they may develop their fears. It is a small piece of a puzzle.

8th house in Pluto (Libra)

Death isn't an issue for me, I see it as just another transformation. But thanks for the post Ami Anne! It really gave me insight into my 8th house and an epiphany that I never thought of before.

I'm afraid of sex and let me explain. I don't mean afraid of sex in the performance area, or 'satisfactory' sex or 'good' sex, etc. But I'm afraid that sex itself, between two people will never transcend the physical, emotional to the spiritual. I can't really say that I would leave a partner if it didn't, but I would be greatly disappointed if it couldn't. Very Scorpio energy but it is the 8th house after all.

You nailed it, Ami

Most horrible moments: to be with someone who tells you you are too intense, who has less passion for things, or in general.

Thank you, LeeLoo

You know, since I wrote this, I have gotten a much greater understanding of the Houses. I really did not understand before and I need to amend the article.

I strongly feel that Pluto is in my 4th house. My childhood was deeply traumatizing and I was in fight, flee and survival mode. I fought to be in a safe place (my 'adoptive' parents) only to be dragged back to hell at my bio family's place then to face things I can not speak.

Above all emotional and physical safety is important in the home.....

I have first house pluto , I think there are no fear in this realm at all , the pluto give the native will power to do anythings with the determined mind . I have saturn conjunct AC too , so my fear for loosing control is mainly from saturn .

I wuould like to here more about people who have pluto in first but don't have saturn too

Well I have Pluto in the first (widely conjunct Asc.) and Uranus in the first as well. I do need to stay on top of it all most of the time which to me is a sign of weakness As you said though I can do whatever I set my mind to so that means letting go as well. I do not fear much. I do like to make my own rules.

Pluto 8th house. You nailed it. I am passionate about the things I love, the things I believe in, the things I detest. I am passionate about food, sex, music, art, pretty much anything I get into, I do it whole heartedly and full tilt.

The dark side of this is I'm told that I'm "too much" - too emotional, too loud, too excited, too happy, too sad - and it's been that way my entire life. I fear that I will never find someone who gets it. I long for someone to share all of life with - the good, the bad, the ugly - and live it out hard.
