I'm trying to do a little research about pregnancy. Which house was your child's sun sign/ moon sign/ ASC in on your solar return chart during the year they were born? Did you notice anything interesting? What about vertex?

Here.

...but I don't understand the question. Solar return is my bday, right? You want to know what the child's placements were on my birthday? Sorry I'm a beginner. That's likely the problem.

VT, you generate the solar return (yes, it's your bday and there's a specific option for it) for the year your child was born (but if it was born before your bday, you take the previous return so that it's still valid) and then you check where their placements mentioned by op fall there.

Oh! Ok. Thanks my anomaly and bananaz. I'm on it, but I need some time (that just wasn't a good sentence)

they're geniuses with impeccable character.

I was telling my oldest son (15) how I think my past decisions maybe make the people in my life (parents and religious teachers) want to exercise unjust control and influence over my current decisions, but that I don't regret my past decisions because I learned from them. He said, "well you can't expect them to understand. They were your experiences and your lessons. Don't worry about it. Just keep doing what you think is right, and if it turns out it wasn't right, change direction and take the lesson"

But ok. On it.

Older girl is a Sun in Gemini (Sun conj Saturn opposite pluto). Leo rising and moon in Cancer.

Solar return - 5th house Aries Sun conj Venus. Moon in Sagittarius and Scorpio rising. vertex Gemini. Not sure if it is conj her sun saturn.

Youngest Sun in Leo, Pisces Moon and Aqua rising. Jupiter/Neptune rising.

Solar return Leo rising, Sun in Aries in the 9th and a Cancer moon. Vertex in Cappy.

Nothing really stands out.

Progression wise for my second pregnancy was interesting with 5th house stuff.

The Philosopher:

Scorpio Sun in my 6th house
Scorpio Asc in my 6th house
Capricorn Moon in my 7th house

The Shield:

Pisces Sun in my 7th house
Cancer Asc in my 11th house
Sagittarius Moon in my 4th house

The Analyst:

Virgo Sun in my 8th house
Taurus Asc in my 3rd house
Aquarius Moon in my 1st house

The Matriarch & Prime Minister (Margaret Thatcher):

Leo Sun in my 12th house
Cancer Asc in my 11th house
Leo Moon in my 12th house

The Court Jester (King Lear):

Capricorn Sun in my 3rd house
Virgo Asc in my 10th house
Leo Moon in my 9th house

I have an adopted son. I don't know his real birthday, let alone his time of birth,(edit) but I di know who he is. He is

The Ambassador

This exercise was actually enlightening. I can draw loose connections between the births of the children and what was going on in my life around those times- I also see a connection between where their sun/moon/asc fall and who they are in my life. I really have to think about it more though to share. what are you looking for?

I love how you labeled them all

I'm trying to draw connections. I see them play out in transits, and I was wondering if they play out in the SR chart too. My husband and I are trying for a baby so it really fascinates me how much astrology and fate play into it.

For me it plays out kind of like synastry. Also their placement seem to connect with my focus as a mother, or what I might have been going through at the time. Like my daughter whose moon and sun fall in the 12 of my SR- I was going through a Pluto conjunct Neptune transit when I became pregnant with her. I had nightmares. I am a conscious and focused dreamer and I do not have nightmares.

When my first son, the philosopher, was born I felt I was beginning the work I was always meant to do- be a mama. Sun/Asc in my 6th. He is my companion, moon in 7th.

I wish you and your husband every joy in this life.

Thats really interesting. I also went through the pluto/ neptune conjunction recently. Its definitely not the easiest transit.

Do you see your children in your natal chart?

Some astrologers say you see them connected to your moon. Ive also heard to look at the aspects made by the ruling planet of your 5th house. And finally, some say the sun or moon sign of your first shows on the cusp of your 5th house. I think the sign of your 2nd shows on your 9th or 11th. Cant remember which.

SaturnFan, I love that you did it on behalf of your mother.

I don't think I did the same thing you and Sagical did. I may still not understand this whole thing...

Anyone feel free to jump in and learn me, please.

I'm not sure I did it right, but here's what I did:

My mother's born in July. I'm born in December '87. So in astro.com I selected the Solar Return Chart in the Extended Chart Selection list and entered 1987 in the Date fields below. This generated her Solar Return chart for 1987/88 and I checked my Sun sign, Moon sign and ASC in this chart.

My brother is born in March 1990, so I ran my mother's Solar Return chart for 1989 (because her birthday in 1990 is after my brother was born, therefore the 1989 SR chart applies), and checked where his Sun, Moon and ASC sign fall there.

Hope I'm making sense? I was very confused by Solar Return charts until recently (since I'm born in December, I wasn't sure which year to run my SR for), so this might not even be 100% correct

For my son:
Child's Sun - House 1 of Solar Return
Moon - House 7
ASC - House 8
Vertex - House 5
NN- House 5

My solar return chart had saturn conjunct my natal moon less than 1 degree. The ASC of the solar return chart was opposite of my Natal ASC.

My Mother's (that was a great idea!):

1st Child (me):
Child's Sun - House 2 of Solar return
Moon- House 11
ASC - House 12
Vertex - House 5
NN- House 9

2nd Child:

Child's Sun- House 6 of solar return
Moon- House 9
ASC- House 3
Vertex - House 6
NN- House 7

The solar return chart for her that year had a packed 4th house (Sun, moon, mercury, mars, and pluto).

3rd Child:

Child's Sun- House 10 of solar return
Moon - House 9
ASC - House 12
NN - House 9
Vertex - House 6

What I did find interesting is 2 out of 3 of my mother's solar return charts had vertex in house 5. The other one had vertex is house 7. My solar return chart for the year my son was born had vertex house 7.

Hope this helps your research.

First baby, most of the planets were in the 8th. After a few years I had my second one again most of the panets feel in the solar return 8th. But the moon was at 23 degrees Aries (on my Ascendent) I read that is when a baby will come into your life when there wasn't one for awhile.

So I wanted to come back to this thread since I'm now 3 months pregnant to add my info for any future women who are interested...

SR Year of pregnancy

Moon in 1st
Jupiter in 5th

SR year of birth

5th house ruler on ASC
Mars & Saturn in SR 5th house (fun fun)

Transits

T Jupiter was conjunct N Ceres around the time of conception

T Sun and T mercury in my 8th

Next year (around the time I'm due) T north node will conjunct N Ceres and T Ceres will conjunct my N north node literally AT THE SAME TIME.

I find it EXTREMELY interesting that Ceres & the NN have so much to do with childbirth. I would've never thought to look at Ceres of all places. And the north node just goes to show how much fate is involved. It's crazy.

Also want to mention that for the month of conception my lunar return chart had both the 4th and 5th house full of planets which may help anyone trying to conceive.

Finally, the last noteworthy thing is that I'm expecting a little CANCER! Very excited about this as I'm a Pisces. Cancer also rules my 4th & 5th houses of my natal chart.

Hope this helps someone someday. I know I scoured the internet for information and my husband and I tried for almost a year to get pregnant, so it's like searching for that ray of hope. I totally 100% believe fertility/ children is shown in the combination of transits and return charts.
