Hi . I've really been getting into astrology and am loving getting to know myself better, and have even helped my friends try to understand who they really are as well. It's been fun.I do have a problem though. I am a Capricorn sun with a Leo Asc. To be honest, I don't feel like I am a Capricorn at all. I've always felt I'm more airy as well. I don't have a lot of air in my chart. I guess the most prominent air would be my NN in Libra and my Venus in Aquarius. Other than that, I'm a mixed bag According to my draconic chart though, I'm a Gemini sun. I feel weird telling people I am a Capricorn though because I just don't feel that is me. Plus, the Leo horoscopes make more sense to me and Leo is just who I am. I feel like I was born in the wrong month What would you do in this situation? I feel like I can't outright say that I am a Leo because all of my friends already know my birthday and they'll just be confused. IP: Logged |

The Asc is often a strong identification for the individual. This is more especially when they have Sun/Moon there etc. Do you have any other planets aspecting the Asc? With Leo Asc,that would put Sun in Cap in your sixth house. How is your health? The Six house is no advantageous place for the Sun as it suggests that the physical body(Sun) has to overcome obstacles(6th)a lot in life. This is especially so if the Sun enjoys further afflictions from other planets. Or the Sun is in Libra/Aquarius. The position also suggests some issues with the Dad(Sun) or authority figures; either they get in the way or oppose you somehow. But there is some "you are not there for me" issues that one has here. But with Cap Sun there,it is unlikely to be a major player and mitigates that interpretation a lot. Cap energy tends to respect authority. It would be quite the fight if Leo/Aries or Scorpio were there. Sparks would definitely fly as these issues would be highlighted very strongly. IP: Logged |

With your NN in Libra, it means your SN is in Aries. It takes time for your NN energy to balance itself out and Aries energy can be close to Leo energy in the way they are extroverted, so you may be confusing the two there. Thus, you can't really feel your Capricorn Sun because your SN Aries and Leo Asc are overshadowing it. Aries23Degrees, my health isn't the best I have anemia and a skin problem. It isn't visible but still annoying nonetheless. I didn't know the 6th House in Cap meant that my physical body would have to overcome a lot of obstacles, but it holds true so far for sure! Not only physically, but emotionally as well. It has taken me a long time to finally feel beautiful. Yep, I do have daddy issues! My father passed away when I was 5 years old. I blame Saturn in the 8th house. I don't have any planets aspecting my Asc, nor do I have any other Leo placements in my chart. I do agree that I respect authority, but I do tend to bend the rules a lot as well. I have two Capricorn friends who are the complete opposite of me. They're both "goody goodies" and I'm no where close I still try to remain respectful though. I don't like leaving a bad impression. SDragon, I totally forgot about the SN. Duh! Having my SN in Aries makes SO much sense now. I also have my 9th house and Fortune Asteroid in Aries. Can I ask what you mean though that it takes a while for the NN to balance out? Does that mean overtime I'll be less extroverted? IP: Logged |

the ASC can overshadow the Sun, but you are what you are. if you were born a Cap you say you're a Cap when people ask. you don't start reading Leo horoscopes because you "feel" Leo. What it says - imo - is that you're probably very young. you might not know yourself well enough to see the Cap traits, or as you mature you may identify more with Cap. you might just like what you read about Leo because - in comparison to Cap - they are more outgoing, fun, social, etc. we are all a mixture of all our signs and some signs we identify with more (I strongly identify with my Venus, for example). but when asked, you're a Cap. be proud of it!IP: Logged |

starmoon,I read the Leo horoscopes because the Capricorn ones never make sense. Leo usually describes what I'm going through to a T. I'm 19.. so not very young I do agree with some of the Capricorn traits. I can admit to some of them, for sure. I just feel my Leo comes out more. I think Capricorns are equally as fun as Leos too. My Capricorn friends are one of the signs that can make me laugh the hardest, so I have nothing against this sign at all. You're right, I should be more proud of it though. Thank you!

I'm not too sure about degrees but apparently I'm a Capricorn at 8.52 degrees and a Leo Rising at 20.35 degrees. Does this make any difference?Ami, It's funny that you bring up that aspect!!! My sun conjuncts jupiter at 9.36 IP: Logged |

Yes, usually the SN Aries energy will be a bit less extroverted as NN Libra becomes more aware of the different sides, partnership, and team-play energy. I consider anyone who hasn't at least gone through their saturn return young (under 27) even though society says otherwise. I just remember when I was younger, my SN, moon and saturn karma played a huge part in my growth, so ya, you'll probably grow into your Capricorn energy later on. IP: Logged |

I thought that a Draconic Chart shows the energy of what it will feel or be like at the ending of this lifetime? If you're still young, then would you be feeling that right now? ... {I don't know the answer to this-- just friendly askin' } IP: Logged |

Why not just tell them you are Capricorn and that you don't fit the mold. Be proud of who you are and explain to them what makes you unique. You can have a big effect on others by teaching them that " Sun Sign Astrology" is NOT the only way to interpret charts. IP: Logged |

Also, look to the sign where the ruler of your Sun resides and you will most likely have those characteristics. For instance if you have The ruler of your Sun (Cap Sun is ruled by Saturn), Saturn in Pisces you will tend to be a bit unclear about who you are. That explains your OP question. [edit. I'm guessing because 19 years ago Saturn was in Pisces. I don't know your exact placement]IP: Logged |

Not to side track the thread but maybe this will help. I don't see the charts as linear, so it's not to say that it follows: Tropical -> Sidereal -> Draconic -> Heliocentric (put them in any order you want) But I view them as all connected in a spherical ball. The energy that you see facing one side of the ball is usually one of the charts but as you experience life, you will be seeing a different facet of the same ball as your perspective changes. You tell them you're a Cappy I, too, have suffered this situation.. with the same ASC even, but I'm a Pisces Sun. House placement and aspects to your Sun will give it it's own flavor though because you arent JUST a Cappy Sun. It's your opportunity to tell people that Sun sign astrology just barely scratches the surface of who you (and they) are. Conversation starter, if you will. I have more to say but my phone is about to die. I'll return to this later IP: Logged |

Oh gee,Point by point without reading what else has been said 1)I am a Capricorn sun, U R A person , born when The Sun was in Capricorn, YOU ARE ALL 12 SIGNS. Traditionally the quincunx(Cap to leo) has been called confusing, change that to clarifying. 2) Leo rises and Venus is in AQ, SO YOU want to be clear. be yourself 3)I guess the most prominent air would be my NN in Libra and my Venus in Aquarius, ACTUALLY THAT IS A LOT OF AIR, perhaps not quantity of points but in quality. 4)Venus is in the 7thAQ? and Rules 7th house. So Venus is 2x in power The ascendant is your environment, personality ,reflection and therefor your developed mask. Forget what the majority of people see, because you will ultimately define yourself by your INNER NATURE, your sun. Your Saturn 3rd q square and Uranus 1rst q square will be upon you soon, after that you will less concerned with whether THEY will be confused, and you will be establishing your inner self moreso.
