I am my main guinea pig. I have Saturn in the Second House. However, I have never have poverty. I would think that Chiron in the second House would bode more for ACTUAL poverty. Saturn bodes for FEARS of poverty. Saturn seems to be deep fears, which may or may not be rooted in actual reality. Let’s explore!

Saturn in the Houses

House One--This native seems to grow up early. He is the proverbial “little old man” His fear may be that he cannot let loose. He has had to be so responsible that the little child within has buried himself very deeply.

House Two–This native fears financial insecurity. No matter how much she has, she feels she could lose it.

House Three—This native fears embarrassing himself through saying something “stupid”

House Four–This native may have felt as if his childhood home was cold. He may have felt he was not worthy to be loved. The deep sense that he is not worthy to be loved may be one of his deepest fears.

House Five--This native may feel he cannot let loose, play and create. His deep fear may be of looking silly if he lets himself relax and be free.

House Six--This native may have had chronic illness. If not, he may have felt that he was never good enough to help others. This Saturn placement may fear unemployment and the consequences of that, as well.Hence, this native may fear either illness, joblessness or not being ‘good enough” to do works of service.

In some houses, we have more diverse spheres represented than in many of the other houses. The sixth house is one. The eleventh is another.

House Seven--This native may have delays in getting married. Once married, the native may feel as if his marriage is very hard, in the manner of a difficult class in school. He may feel as if he has to trudge through his marriage. This native may fear he/she will never have a stable, happy marriage.

House Eight-– This native seems very uncomfortable with his primal passions, as if he should be above the animal nature, which is in us all. This stance is very painful and not an intellectual one, but rather a picture of a painful inner landscape. This native may fear she is too “sexual”, too intense and/or too passionate.

House Nine–This native may have delays in higher education. He may fear that he will ever complete his education, although he has a great desire to do so.

House Ten–This native may have set backs in career. He may fear that he will never climb the ladder of success, in the manner in which he knows he can.

House Eleven –This native may fear groups. He may fear that he will be humiliated in group settings

House Twelve–This native may fear that he is not creative enough or mystical enough. He may feel as if he is boring because he is too earth centered.

I have Saturn in the 8th House!

I definitely am afraid that I may be too passionate,
I don't want to come across as clingy to my partners.
I am also afraid that I may be too sexual.
I feel like I may need to tone it down, even when
I'm not even trying to be sexually appealing,
it comes across that way.

But there are also times when I feel I am not enough of these things. It's always a tug of war with me

I have Saturn in the 2H as well, I fear poverty as well. And I although I have money I'll always say to myself 'I don't think this is enough'.

But I think what saves me with being lucky with money is my Venus Trine Jupiter (exact) and my Jupiter in the 12th.

Saturn in second

Very very true I get mad at myself if I spend a few dollars on food. I always think in ways like "what if those few dollars were why I can't pay rent in the future??" Or stuff like that. I have cried over spending money waaaay more than most boys in my life.

Thanks so much for the responses. Doesn't it make you feel less crazy when you know you have reasons for your issues

I have Saturn in second.

I wouldn't say my fear is of losing money per se. My fear is of instability in general. I don't like going into things without a plan. I seldom sign contracts or enter into commitments if there is a possibility (that I have thought of)that things will not work out. Perhaps it's because I have Saturn trine Venus (6th house) natally. Instability in general is fear for me, but I would say it's more to do with relationships as opposed to finances.

Here's a perspective for Saturn in the 7th expressed by a man to me recently - he said his biggest fear is that if he gets married that his wife will "change" after it becomes official, or the relationship itself will change, as in it won't be what it was pre-marriage (more arguments, taking advantage of or resenting the other person, etc.). I sense a fear of losing something constant or predictable there. I think also he fears not living up to his wife's expectations or somehow falling short in some area thus causing the arguments etc. and then she would either leave him or cheat on him or any other number of scenarios!

He craves partnerships and yet is weary of the formality and rigidity of a partnership. I've told him perhaps more casual/less serious relationships are what's best for him but he insist he wants just "one" person.

In addition to Saturn (Libra) he also has Pluto (Libra), Mars (Libra) and Jupiter (Scorpio) in his 7th house. Packed!!!! Poor thing

Wow M

What a packed 7th house. I have an article on stelliums. I think the 7th is one of the hardest houses for them.

Glad u made this thread, Saturn and I have a love/hate relationship. I know it's there to simply teach me but I wish it's way of teaching wasn't so hard and mean

I have Saturn in the 5th house (5H Pisces) so I'm afraid of self expression. Of being who I am. Sometimes it's because idk who I am. Also because I've never been able to express myself creatively, due to parents always stopping me and oppressing me. My dad played a huge role in blocking my expressio. I tend to have an overly serious personality and have a hard time letting loose and having fun.

Thanks for writing, Anisa! That is exactly the nature of Saturn in the 5th and is not your fault. However, Saturn lets you grow and mature, so you don't have to STAY that way, my Dear Friend.

Wow, Ami anne - you are so right, as always - I love to read your descriptions of different natal positions.

I have Leo saturn in 12th house, conjunct Asc and all my life I felt extremely boring. Although I have a lot of other astrological positions pointing to creativity, I've never pursue anything connected with creativity, I just didn't think I am creative enough.

yep

I'm a serious type , I hate when I was young , I don't want to be a child like others , I want to grow up and have everythings .

Saturn is also the ruler of my empty 5th house. So it's really hard to me to let loose and have fun like others .

Saturn in the 7th.

I'm afraid that once I get married, my husband will turn into my boss or a parent who'll judge and control my every move.

It's even harder still with Venus opposition Pluto because I tend to build people up in my head to God-like or at leas angel like heights and then tear them down when reality hits.

Saturn in the 10th - Gemini

My career has always seemed to plod soooo slowly and it's 2 steps forward, one step back and it's a constant fear that I'm just never getting anywhere. Spot on!

Ami Anne, I'm with you.... Saturn in the Second too... but it is in Saggitarius...

Seems like this one is the fear of losing the security the matters of Saggitarius give: faith, law, religion, higher education... And I have this

Saturn in 4th here. Yes, it resonates strongly with me. I've struggled with it and I think maybe, I'm over the worst of it. Learning to love myself has been the key. Still - it's always there, the fear.
