I know sleeping well or bad usually is related to age. The older we are, the more likely we can be a light sleeper.I am curious what placement makes a native sleep well or vice versa besides age. I am a light sleeper.I often fall alseep very soon, but I would wake up quite a few times at night(but fall alseep very soon usually). I have Moon conjunct Uranus in 3rd house(restless mind). Bf is light sleeper too, he cannot fall asleep soon like me. Often if he wakes up, he has difficulty falling asleep again. He has Moon trine Uranus but opposite Neptune. Friend 1: He is Taurus rising. he sleeps well even he is over 50 years old. He has Jupiter conjunct ASC. I think it gives him positive way of thinking, less worry so that better sleep. Friend 2: She is Taurus rising too. She also sleeps very well. She has Jupiter in her 1st house, not conjunct. Friend 3: She is a light sleeper. She has Moon square Uranus. Friend 4: She is a light sleeper. She has Sun/Venus(Venus is her chart ruler) square Moon, Moon conjunct Neptune in 3rd house. Friend 5: He has big problem in sleeping. He usually has 3-5 hours' sleep. I don't know his accurate TOB. He has Moon trine Uranus, Sun quincunx Neptune. It seems Moon-Uranus or Neptune aspects affects(esp.hard aspects) sleep. What else? I would like to hear more opinions. Thanks. IP: Logged |

In my opinion natal chart has little to do with sleeping, since we are all human beings that are made to do so. I'd argue the conditions of their life/lifestyle/food/stress/etc. are more likely to influence the length and quality of sleep. But on the other hand natal chart CAN have an effect on the things I just mentioned... I just think there is no straight-forward correlation.IP: Logged |

I've read that certain aspects of the natal chart CAN affect sleep, and to back up the OP I also am a VERY light sleeper and I have Moon in the 3rd house, well-aspected (coincidence?). I don't have a problem falling asleep or staying asleep when it's QUIET, but if someone is up making noise or moving around in bed then it's very difficult. My SO has trouble sleeping - nightmares, vivid dreams, waking up in the night to eat (sometimes without knowing it) and all around just an irregular sleep pattern. He is a Cancer Sun/Taurus Moon and I've read Cancers are prone to vivid dreams, but he has a very anxiety-prone chart (lots of Pluto and Mars hard aspects) so this may explain the sleep disruptions. Hmm, that is interesting, I would like to see how it describes my ASC. IP: Logged |

I hope I did that quote think right. I agree with this knowflake >7ate9. However certain transits seem to wake me, or at least the dream that woke me did and I awake working on the rest of it. A good night sleep is about letting go of the day. Whenever in my life I have had sleep trouble it was because I had an unresolved issue. When we either deal with or accept and let go, then we can sleep. Become good enough at that and we can even choose our dreams or at least remember and learn, but that it probably another website. Someone may have a planetary arrangement that is constantly triggered by transits the answer is the same,,, let go. I can remember when for a few weeks in my late twenties when I always awoke crying for the world, but it passed. I just accepted there were matters beyond my control. Tomorrow is a new day. For some maybe get up and bath, wash off yesterdays troubles. IP: Logged |

I sleep well usually, I can force myself to sleep even when I'm not tired(if it's quiet, also I'm a good meditator) I can fall asleep anywhere even in very uncomfortable places. I do wake up often at times, like if my allergies are bothering me. Aries Jupiter is opposed my libra AC/Pluto/Venus

Uranus, Mercury, Mars, fire emphasis tend to keep people up and busy physically and/or mentally more than average. Venus, Neptune, water/earth tend to allow more the relaxation that is necessary for sleep.------------------ Professional Astrology, Expert Rectification Complete Rising Sign Descriptions IP: Logged |

Here's my experience. My boyfriend will generally wake up early or if sleep is disrupted, he is up for good. It takes him a while to actually start his day though, since he likes time to "wake up" and have some coffee. He is a Virgo rising.I don't enjoy having to wake up early, or set my alarm for work an hour in a half to get ready, but it's needed because I move super slow in the morning. I need to feel like I can take my time or I become grumpy cat. Taurus rising. IP: Logged |

Im the lightest sleeper in the world and hate getting up in the morning, because I never feel rested. Im also a natural night owl, always has been a struggle to keep daylight hours, even as a child I was up all night reading even though Id had a full day of school and play. Even when Ive got a nice routine going, inevitably there will come the day my mind just wants to go for 36 hours straight and sleep just inst an option. 31 now, but its been that way my entire life. I always say Im too stubborn for sleep. I have a definite love-hate relationship.I love it - loooove it - but its so difficult! Anyway, Leo asc, cap sun and should be great at sleep by now, one would think. I think my massive 5h sag stellium is to blame. ETA: I also have sag moon conjunct uranus in said stellium, with about a 3 degree orb. Neptune is in sag, too, as well as jupiter, and cap sun-merc. IP: Logged |

would this be a moon thing? im just thinking because research has been done and its shown that the various moon cycles can affect our sleep. not majorly but yeah. My moon (chart ruler) is in taurus in 11th and is squared by neptune and uranus. i am an awful sleeper- light and it takes me roughly 2-3 hours to fall asleep. IP: Logged |

I think it's a moon thing, too. At least as far as sleeping soundly is concerned. The folks I know who can wake up early, refreshed, ready to go instantly are all Virgo rising. They are not necessarily light sleepers. The "I can't fall asleep" sleepers, or "can't seem to get enough sleep" sleepers I know have strong Gemini. They are like centaurs keeping watch in the night. And every Scorpio rising I know is a light sleeper. The kind of person that may need a mask to keep out the light. I think unconsciously there may be a fear of negative psychic experiences.
