The thought crossed my mind and I can't say that I've ever heard of one? Does anyone know of one, or anything relative to one? [Please let us know where it is, if you do.} IP: Logged |

Astrology books and writings are kept hidden in the vaults of the Vatican. Occult means "hidden" so if there is a museum displaying the occult it would reveal what is hidden and it just dies not work that way. There are some unusual phenomena on display at the Rippley's Believe It Or Not museums but I never came across occult teachings in public. IP: Logged |

As far as New Age museums... they would be too new to have in a museum. You can find vast New Age collections at modern day New Age bookstores. New Age is just another fad to capitalize on, so some day there may be a cultural museum with New Age books, gadgets, cure-alls, jewelry, etc. but that won't happen until they become artifacts. Interesting topic though. I like how you express your wondering freely and I look forward to reading more responses. IP: Logged |

Oh, and if you are looking for a library collection of astrology, numerology, and new age type books you can find one at the Edgar Cayce center in Virginia Beach. But they will not have the book titles that you really want to read. The collection is limited. It's a nice starting point for those just becoming interested though. IP: Logged |

I guess we understand the new age religion differently, because for me it is the re-birth of a religion that has existed since before ancient babylon... But the beauty of it is in its diversity... IP: Logged |

Thank you. Glad to know of it. I'm looking for something more to do with artifacts and history though... IP: Logged |

The one in Florida was named after the Cassadaga
of New York. I've only been to the one in Florida (and that is the one I was referring to, yes). I believe there are two opposing factions, there.. one on either side of the street. The Hotel side.. the bookstore side. You can sit on the porch of one, and look at the
porch of the other. The place, itself, is historical... while still being quite alive. But no, I don't imagine there's *technically* a Museum. Not for the intangible. - *edit: clarification, FL ------------------ Nothing is permanent in this wicked world; not even our troubles. -C Chaplin IP: Logged |

You're welcome.
Do a little research on it--
It's touted as the psychic capital of the world! lol Whether it is or not, I don't know.
I didn't go to see a psychic, myself. It wasn't what I expected but the experience overall was a good one... I think it was exactly what it was supposed to be. ------------------ Nothing is permanent in this wicked world; not even our troubles. -C Chaplin IP: Logged |
