I've been studying my MC/IC axis lately and its amazing how much knowledge I've received from it. My MC/IC axis is Sagittarius and Gemini in the 11th/5th houses (not 10th/4th because I follow the whole sign system) and EVERYTHING RINGS TRUE. Guys, learn about the whole house system because if you're mc/ic axis falls in the 11th/5th houses the energy will be so different. Same goes for the 9th/3rd houses, 8th/2nd houses etc.. The Sag/Gem energies are both at 0 degrees. So its double the effect. My Sun is in leo at 4 degrees and it trines my MC. My Moon in Libra is at 17 degrees as well and My ASC in Aquarius is at 9'59 degrees. One thing I have noticed is that these orbs have a certain meaning, and it seems like Although my Sun in Leo is fixed, it has a mutable energy, same goes for my Moon Has any of you experienced anything with certain degrees? My Lilith also conjunct my MC EXACT at 0 degrees in Sagittarius. Any of you know how this may play out in my life? I guess my inner and outer destinies will express and receive the "Lilith" effect? :-/ IP: Logged |

I don't know whether we are on the same pageBut the whole sign system is strongly recommended to people who are starting out and trying to understand/ascertain their natal positions. I personally have stuck with it; As the whole concept of intercepted signs and "out of sign" aspects really confused the hell out of me. I am also fascinated with the whole sign aspect method: Where whether or not a sign is in Leo-regardless of degrees- aspects another fixed sign, say Scorpio by square- regardless of its degree placement. But I don't like to share this fixation with everyone; as it invites all sorts of controversy and puts water all over the whole "sabian symbol" astrology stuff.

I understand. Ive followed the other systems and the whole sign system makes the most sense to me. Especially with dealing with transits. Every house is equal IP: Logged |

yeah they're called dwads? i think thats what you're talking aboutmy IC/MC is leo/aquarius and i don't relate whatsoever. nothing at all. but the dwad puts it at scorpio ic/taurus mc. and that is absolutely on point 100% so i think they can hold considerable power and i tend to looks at them when looks at signs as = actual sign 60-70% strength and the dwad as the 30-40% of the picture. so i take both side by side.

Never heard of a dwad before. Whats that? The MC/IC axis is very powerful and special. In the whole house system, it doesn't have to be the 10th/4th house. It can be the 11th/5th (which is mine) the 8th/2nd or the 9th/3rd. IP: Logged |

i don't chart w/the whole sign method, but i share your opinion on degrees. i rather think that regardless of degree any sign has an affinity to another sign. whether at 1 or 21 the sign is the same so the general traits remain the same. i do synastry though, so degrees become important and the whole sign method doesn't work for that imo, although i guess some people use it

There are a number of reasons for critical degrees. O sag/0 ge is a spot from some reason, a kickoff point I think. I know the 8-9 Gemini/sag is critical because last Neptune/Pluto conj was there in 1891. ------------------ Seimei, Jupiter Nadir IP: Logged |
