Unaspected Mars in Taurus here.

Taurus mars isn't necessarily slow. Patient, takes time making decisions, avoids risks (which plays along with the avoiding confrontation they talk about).

If anything, Capricorn Mars can have a low sex drive and channel all their energy into work.

Taurus Mars is a hedonistic pleasure-seeking placement, whereas Capricorn Mars is in the opposite extreme of forgetting *all* about their physical body.
But if a person has both signs represented in their chart - I'm not sure which energy would be more prevalent.
