Topic: How is the moon not considered a sexual planet?

We all know that the sexual planets are Venus, Mars, and Pluto (and Juno if you're into Magi Astrology.)However what's got me thinking is, how is the MOON not considered a sexual planet? Moon is your EMOTIONS. Sex has alot to do with emotions and vice versa. Even if it's just a casual fling or not strings attached, there is still emotion. Especially if the sex is great or bad, emotions will be stirred. For instance, i'm starting to notice those with Moon in aspect to Jupiter, have a higher sex drive than most. When your getting hot under the collar, your emotions become strong right? You start to get the "horny vibes." Well with Jupiter thrown in their, Jupiter is of course the planet of expansion. Jupiter will expand those emotions so therefore people with a moon jupiter aspect then to over-indulge in their "cravings." What do you folks think? IP: Logged |

i agree, though i think the moon is less animal lust and more 'making love' but i think that being comfortable emotionally together is what aids the animal lust and would be what would allow couples to be daring and adventurous in bed. so i really think it goes hand in hand with the other sexual planets along with mercury because communication is definitely key. i was with a guy - i'm capricorn mercury and he's mercury in cancer so opposites there. 4 years together and while the sex was good and enjoyable he could never process exactly what i was telling him to do even if i said it blatantly and therefore never ****** me the way i wanted to be ****** ... in the whole 4 years. I was talking more along the lines of seeing it ones natal chart, but synastry is important. EspeEspecially those moon-mars aspects in synastry, holy smokes...that link is way underrated. IP: Logged |

Moon-mars i feel is my favorite synastry aspect idk what it is but it makes me go crazy!!!! Maybe because i have mars in a water sign so i need that deep emotional chemistry and i ALWAYS get it with moon mars synastry
My ex and i had moon conjunct mars less than 1 degree in cancer that was amazing Even in my current relationship we have moon mars-DW When ever i do a chart of someone im attracted to on a primal level moon mars shows up like 80% of the time My only question is i wonder who feels it more? moon or mars? I think all planets have their personality and represent different concepts.
We have to separate the nature of the planet from its function in the chart. Any planet can be sexual depending on position, aspects or if its the ruler of 5th, 7th or 8th.
I think all personal planets have the bigger potential to manifest in sexual ways but then you see the effect the outer ones can have when in certain positions or aspects.
My two cents (I could be talking nonsense haha)

I think it depends on the individual chart. Some people might feel the moon is their biggest sexual planets, others might be more into their Mars, or their sun. Some people prefer animal lust, others prefer emotional sex. It's personal preference. And I think the preference can be seen by looking at the chart. For instance if someone had an aqua moon and Aries Mars, I would expect them to be very Arian when it comes to sex and prefer my contacts to moon contacts. But for me, I have cancer moon so moon contact and the emotions in general are the most important when it comes to sex. I get turned on by feelings of love. And pure animal lust is boring and just not at all fulfilling. IP: Logged |

The Moon is one's heart. If one is attracted to someone, the heart would be a factor, in my experience, but the heart is the heart and not a "sexual" planet, per se.------------------

I agree with all of you. My personal experience:
I have a Scorpio Moon conjuncting my Jupiter in the 8th house and there he comes conjuncting these two with his Mars-Pluto in Scorpio. In his part they happen on his 12th house. We also have a DW of Moon-Mars synastry. My Libra Mars (and Aquarius Venus) trine his Gemini Moon. Amazing huh? I've never felt this before. Chemistry and feelings are so intense! I also have to add that Moon-Mars aspects make the partners fantasize having babies together. I read it somewhere and it's accurate. And yes Mercury aspecting Mercury is really important. We have Mercury sextile Mercury, and there is a smooth, nice communication that we both respect and understand each other's minds and needs.IP: Logged |

Don't forget that for a relationship to be longlasting & satisfying - respective moons should be compatible. THEN does Moon sign count. But moon sign per se on it's own is not about sex , in my opinion IP: Logged |

The Moon is our inner ego and our inner feelings.It isn't a sexual planet imo but is important in compatibility as it shows our emotional nature and two people need to have a flowing compatibility in terms of their nature. IP: Logged |

Meant to say it isn't a sexual planet per se but does offer alot of insight into our sexual compatibility.after all, moon is our emotional nature and good sex always has a good feeling to it and a mutual understanding. this is why moon is used as a compatibility indicator in vedic astrology IP: Logged |

Moon-Mars is definitely good for sexual attraction. I like it when I'm mars and the girl is the moon. In my experience this aspect usually results in mutual attraction, whereas other aspects known to indicate attraction, such as venus-mars, can be one-sided. For me I feel like moon-moon and Mars-Mars are the biggest indicators of sexual compatibility. But that probably has less to do with the moon objectively being important to sexual compatibility, and more to do with the fact that as a water moon, the moon sign is highly important to sexual compatibility for me specifically.I guess for everyone in general I'd say it's probably agree with the conventional wisdom of having Mars be in compatible signs or at least aspected if not.
