I think that the house placement of the Sun/Moon is very powerful. And 2nd to no others. IMOSo it is worthwhile to examine the house placement of the two as-together with the Asc- they form such an integral part of your identity and self-image.
The Moon in 7th is interesting.
The 7th is about partnerships and one-to-one relationships.
The 7th is also the house of the projected "self"- What we learn about ourselves when in the company of the close "other"; business associate, romantic partner, neighbor, friend etc.
The 7th house has a sort of "public relations" feel to it- Due to the fact that the 7th gives the individual a glimpse of whom they are(relative to the "other").
This can make one very addicted to being with others. Not necessarily because of the "enjoyment" per say, but because the goal is to know the self through the other.
So the relationships often serve as a springboard for more self-awareness; In especially when Sun/Moon/Mars/Mercury is in the 7th.
The sign where the Moon is placeD/aspects to it,can exacerbate this.
So if the Moon is in Cancer/Taurus/Leo/ Aries/Gemini.
The intent could be in getting to know oneself through relationships with others.
Often people who are in a relationship with such people often feel that they are there to "serve" or are a means to an end i.e to get the individual to be more aware/fulfill their emotional needs.
This is of-course the negative manifestation.
The positive side of this is that the person can seek out relationships that have a strongly nurturing quality to them; especially when Taurus,Cancer,Leo is there.
They may want to nurture or receive the same from their partner. And usually the partnerships/marriage are very close.
These people may go through relationships that have a lot of emotional ups/downs.
But it is often this nature that gives the relationship that "I belong here" quality and sense of "closeness" and thereby can be very addictive-as they form a strong part of their identity(Moon).
I am curious as to what details you are actually looking for with regards to this placement.
What I do know however, is that a lot of this could be mitigated if the Moon is placed in Aquarius,Capricorn or Gemini
But even with that being said, the intent of the person is to establish a similar vein to the relationship they had with Mom, the early home environment or childhood experiences.
So again, if there are harsh aspects(say Moon/Uranus square or Mars square),there could be a need to "replicate" those feelings experienced then-whether "bad" or "good".
So with Moon/Uranus square, they may attract or be attracted to a relationship with lots of disharmony and instability.
The partner could be commitment-phobic and leave suddenly. Or they themselves could be very unreliable to be with.
In the 2nd instance, there could be attraction towards more violent/aggressive partners. The domestic atmosphere could be tense or extremely volatile etc.
In both instances however, there is a tendency is to go back to the same drama habitually. Because as they often put it; "It may not be perfect, but this is all I know"(Moon) etc.
