He says his whole life he feels like he's always made the choice to do things alone (whether consciously or not). He always played solo sports, worked jobs where he was working independently or by himself and can travel, shop and dine alone with no issue. He has been in a series of relationships throughout his 20's and early 30's, none of them lasting very long (2 years on/off tops) so that area of his life is a little different...perhaps it's that he attracts relationships quite easily but has trouble with the "sharing" bit because he likes to be alone and ultimately pushes them away?

Seems contradictory considering his chart.

Can anyone shed any light?

Aries ASC with Sun in Cancer and Moon in Taurus I could see created an introverted nature.

He probably likes being in control of his surroundings and since he can't control people, he prefers being alone.

That's his Sun square the Saturn/Mars/Pluto conjunction, plus the Aries ASC.

The Venus in Gemini in the 3H (ruler of his DSC, no less) opposes Neptune and speaks of his short term romances, which can be filled with false promises or confusion, maybe the women he dates/used to date thought they could change him or that he could commit to them but he didn't, or vice versa.

At any rate, there's a lot of conflict here when it comes to relating to others; it probably "feels" easier, and lighter, to be single/by himself.

I remember reading somewhere that having either most planets or even just the sun and moon below he horizon could indicate introversion.
