Can anyone recommend websites/articles or good books to learn about Solar Return charts? Is it worthwhile learning? I think progression is more important than Solar Return...I could be wrong, however.

I've not come across his books before. Thank you Seimei!

He has interesting titles like "Paradox (the) Problem in Astrology" LOL

I am also interested in astrocartography very much. Do you have the link for scrib?

You are right astra7, progressions are more important...

I don't have any links or articles. However, solar return charts are transit charts for one day, and I suggest you read them that way. I also suggest that you read the planet positions against the backdrop of your natal spread, rather than upon a circle of its own.
House positions based on solar return calculations are not valid in my view, since house positions are set at birth along with the Asc and MC and all planetary movement should be read against that backdrop.

Too much is made of solar return charts, mostly for the benefit of consulting astrologers (or report selling websites) who use it as another reason to get clients to pay them at least once a year, claiming the chart lays out your personal year. Yet, its predictive viability lasts only so long as the planet positions stay within orb of aspects to natal planets. Then the sky moves on.

In fact, even using progressions, I don't do any predictive interpretations that reach past about 6 months (with only one exception, when there are perpetual progressions, my comments may reach further).

In another words, Kannon McAfee, don't bother learning too much about SR then.

Right. I'm not saying solar return charts are not valid, just that they don't have much value.
