How would you interpret this placement in someone's chart? I understand it's quite a significant aspect. I'm curious because my father had it in his chart (Pluto in Cancer, Uranus in Aries, Saturn in Capricorn). IP: Logged |

This aspect was in effect in May 1930 and from May - Nov 1931.Let's start with Uranus. Uranus is innovation, higher level awareness and inventiveness. It forms the stem of this t-square. In Aries it moves in a more individualistic manner with the desire for direct and free expression. So the person tends to be urged to make their own way in response to efforts at control (Saturn-Pluto) or power blockages from the outer world. In square with Saturn there is a stop-start dynamic that requires a lot of trial-by-error learning. In square with Pluto there is upheaval of the revolutionary sort: the tendency to take up the ball and run home if one does not get their way. People born during this type of t-square tend to have personalities that become shaped more by the socio-political forces of their day than is normal. There is the challenge to do a lot and be utilitarian with scarce resources. A lot of this is power struggle (Saturn opp Pluto) broken up by unpredictable impulses or demands for change (Uranus). The best feature of this t-square is Saturn in its own sign of Capricorn, making for a practical base of operation. ------------------ Astrology & natural medicine blog: 3D full sky astrology with declinations Complete Rising Sign descriptions IP: Logged |

^^ Thanks for this Kannon. I did feel my father had conflicts within himself about going his own way and doing his own thing against following certain conventions and duties (I think in this case his fatherly duties as a provider for the family). He was a young man of the 1950's after all (and child of World War II). I think he was probably a fairly frustrated man sometimes although he never revealed that, he was quite the mystery a lot of the time. Very cool fella in other ways though. He was also a real philosopher and thinker (and wonderful singer). I wish I'd got to know more about what made him tick deep down. IP: Logged |
