I ponder why. ARE you trying to calculate an event in life. Typically tertiary progressions are used for short periods of time. Such as chart for a 3 week vacation and you may compare each week to radix of start and birth chart
I would suggest you do a lunar return for 18th(Jan 30 1998?) and 19th(Feb26-67,1998) months after birth and view as if 18th and 19th year lunar motion based fractals, it really depends on what you are using them for.

I'm not trying to calculate a specific event, but instead, looking at the year overall. I've read that progressions are somewhat better than solar returns when it comes to looking at how your year will be.

So for my 18th year: Lunar return Jan 30, 1998? and 19th year: Lunar return Feb 26, 1998? (Yea, I'm using astro.com)

Tertiary Progressions measure time in months, lunar months. Generally, there are 12.5 Lunar months in a year. This is different from SA & SP which measure time in day for year. So if I'm looking at the Tertiary for a baby...

1. How old is the baby? 6 months?
2. Go to the sixth Lunar month after birth, day six in the ephemeris. This then describes the current tertiary for the child.
3. 18 Months? Go to the 18th lunar month in real time. 18th day after birth in the ephemeris.
4. 18 years? 18 x 12.5 = 225. Go to the 225th Lunar month/day after.
5. You turned 18 in August, but he kissed you in November? 225 + 3 = 228. Go to the 228 Lunar month/day after birth.

Lunar Month begins at you nMoon & ends once the moon return to this position.

Wow, this is so much clearer now!! Thank you!! Last question: should I go by a regular calendar or another calendar (since it is 12.5)?

For this you'll need an ephemeris. A computer program like what they have on astro.com may also help with accurate timing. The calendar month is an all together different concept.

Eg. Your nMoon is in Pisces. Depending on the degree this is when your Lunar Month will begin and end each month. Your first lunar month began on your birthday & ended on August 28th because that's when the moon returned to Pisces. The calendar month, otoh, ended on the 31st, with Moon in Aries. So the calendar month is not the one to use.

Your 2nd lunar month started on August 28th & ended on September 24th, again because that's when the moon returned to Pisces. This time calendar month ended on September 30th with moon in Gemini this time.
