Hi,

I am curious to know the effects of Mercury Retro (MR) on job offers. I once took a job on retro--and it was disastrous--the job was not what I expected.

I have two current cases at work I am observing (love studying astro in real life situations!) and have two scenarios--and want to see what you think will happen.

1) A Director at my current company accepted the position of VP (and will be my new boss) during this MR's transit in Gemini--during the shadow period (and one month after the eclipse, around May 4-5 2015).

Since it was in Gemini--I'm wondering if this means there will be a change in role for her--or because she was already with the company--things will move smoothly forward.

2) We just offered a job offer during this month's MR--and she verbally accepted. However, she did interview with the company a year ago for another position at the company.

So what do you predict will happen??? I find MR so fascinating as there seem to be consistent occurrences..

From what I heard, it is not particularly recommended to make important decisions during Mercury retrograde, such as accepting a job. However, if someone was hired earlier, then there shouldn’t be any problem to start a job when Mercury is RX, I guess…

I will have a job interview on 15 June. The date has recently been modified three times by the company due to some "unexpected problems" and "unforseen circumstances" (no joke!)
By that time Mercury will have already turned direct, uff....However, apparently it will still be in some “shadow phase” until 27 June o.O. Could anybody please clarify what this shadow phase means?

Hi Gemmi, yes exactly, that's what I heard--and even for verbal agreements. But what if you give a verbal agreement, but sign after the retrograde -- anyone know if that is OK?

Anyone else have any thoughts? I'd really like to know what the great folks in this community have experienced or see how you think these 2 situations will turn out.

I think the general idea is to use mercury rx period to think about opportunities and offers and weigh out your options, then commit/sign agreements/go through with it once mercury is direct.

If you haven't accepted the job or signed any contracts or papers, I think you're fine. But I am interested to hear out it turns out.

I wonder if this all applies to me because I have mercury rx natally...

Looking for a job isn't so bad as accepting one.

I've been interviewing for jobs throughout the Retrograde. Hopefully it doesn't hurt my chances...

During mercury rx my job was misery!!!
I hated it and couldn't was wait to get out. I was desperate!! It felt like nothing ever went right.
I even had an interview with another company but I mistakenly applied for a job that I knew little about. The interview was about as awful as possible. I laugh about it now but little else will make a person feel so dumb.
Immediately after the rx things became better. It was life everything started clicking again. I even solved a couple of difficult issues and felt proud.

I lost a job during Mercury Retrograde. Now I'm looking to transfer within my company, and have been rescheduling interviews twice the past 2 weeks.
