I just ugh, she get's on my nerves all the time and tries to annoy me every chance she get's. There's quite an age gap between us, 8 years (we have the same parents) She always tells me what to do, and always thinks I'm lazy and seriously lives to criticize me. -.- I love her very much, she's also very protective and generous towards me. But I think our personalities don't match, I wish we were super close though. Anyone feeling the same about they're siblings, any ideas how to get a "strong" bond? My sun: Leo Moon: Taurus Ascendant: Virgo Her sun: Aries Moon: Gemini Ascendant: Libra I've got Pluto and Chiron in my third house. IP: Logged |

I'm an Aries Sun, Gemini Moon, and my sister was the critical one in our pairing. Can you make a synastry chart on astro.com, and click the anonymizer option to blank out your names?IP: Logged |

Oh God, where do I start.I'm Virgo cusping Libra with Aqua moon, she's Aqua cusping Pisces with Sagi moon. Not only don't we clash with each other, we clash with ourselves! She's bossy and over-functioning (imo), I'm laid-back and philosophical (to compensate for her, actually I'm quite driven on my own terms) Put our mother in the mix and we clash between all three of us! Guess why I love being alone! IP: Logged |

*waves at teasel* Faye, With your Pluto and Chiron in the 3H, it makes sense that your relationship with your sister brings pain and suffering to you. Unfortunately, you can't change your sister's behavior towards you; so if she keeps criticizing you, what you can do is: express your feelings to her (tell her it hurts you that she does that to you); distance yourself from her to avoid experiencing her criticism/remarks; or change your own behavior - the things you do that she comments on, so she can't criticize you about those things anymore (however it's probable she will find something else to criticize you about). Coincidentally, my sister also has a Gemini Moon and she's the critical type as well. IP: Logged |

your sister has the more "aggressive" placements. it's a general statement but true. she also has two of the air signs that are verbally gifted. you might find that she talks big but that her actions are really quite loving towards you. look for ways to appreciate her affection. although leo rising is a fire sign and many people associate fire with a go-getter attitude, i have always found leo rising quite gentle and especially so compared to aries. my brother and i have very dissimilar placements as well and into adulthood our differences never reconciled and we are not close at all - it borders on hate sometimes. we really just don't get along - he has a ton of water placements and i have none. we come from a place of very different viewpoints and expressions. it happens, and sometimes you have to tolerate family more than anything. but the bond is still there, even if it's not a close one.IP: Logged |

I'm driven to reply to this because my sister's also eight years younger than me and up until five years ago I could've written your post. She drove me absolutely INSANE.We get on pretty well now, the thing that I found made the difference for me was some fairly heavy 4H transits, as a lot of our interactions were coloured by a) our childhood perceptions and b) our relationships with the rest of our family, in particular our mother. I worked all of that out, we had some absolute humdingers of rows while we were sorting out new boundaries and roles, got to the root of most of our disagreements and cleared the air. We're really close now, and (touch wood) haven't argued at all in over two years, which is an absolute miracle for us! So perhaps have a look at what's going on in your fourth house? Ime there are often quite a lot of other IC-type issues at work in sibling relationships. quote: Originally posted by starmoon: although leo rising is a fire sign and many people associate fire with a go-getter attitude, i have always found leo rising quite gentle and especially so compared to aries.
As an aside, I absolutely agree with this - it's so nice to see it written down! Nearly all the Leos I know are incredibly gentle. IP: Logged |

Sounds like my relationship with my sister. I'm Libra Sun/Moon, she's Aries Sun and Cancer Moon. My scorpio mercury and her aries mercury will argue all day till the cows go home. IP: Logged |

Hey, Thanks for the reply. I just feel like my sister doesn't take my feelings seriously. I am a very sensitive person and I try to hide it but I have a hard time "holding" back my tears. She will be like "oh, are you going to cry AGAIN" IP: Logged |

Thanks for replying. I see we have similarities in our relationships with our sisters. Nice hearing you and your sister have developed a stronger bond. Hopefully my relationship with my sister will also develop into that. About my fourth house I have only Lilith there.

Your Pluto in 3rd house wants ABSOLUTE control. Her Saturn in 4th wants authority.Your Moon in 8th is secretive whilst her Moon in 9th tends towards being a "know it all Nora" etc. The good news is, if you hold out long enough. It'll get better and she'll be less involved with you. IP: Logged |
