Can hard aspects to Saturn (with Mercury,Venus,Sun) serve as a simulator for a Saturn Return? Or is a Saturn return an exclusive period in life that cannot be simulated by natal aspects?

**Would hard aspects to Saturn (natally) prepare you or subdue the feelings of a Saturn Return? **

I think that whatever aspects Saturn makes to other planets in the chart shows what's due on a Saturn return, unless you have evolved above the birth chart and transcended that karma.

So then nothing could really prepare you? You can just expect change in certain areas...

Saturn return is more of a karmic time. Like how have you spent the last 28 years of your life?

I think Jesus' life is a good example. He started his ministry when he was around 30 years old. So for him it was a harvest for all the hard work he put towards achieving that level. It was a reward and due.

I think having strong Saturn aspects in your chart can help you get used to Saturn's energy, but the Saturn Return is a whole other beast. Whether it's heaven or hell for you will depend on whether you are on the right track before your Saturn Return. While you should enjoy your 20s, don't neglect your responsibilities. Figure out what you are meant to do in life. Figure out which relationships are worth saving and which ones should be discarded. Eliminate toxic people from your life.

The Saturn Return is a wakeup call. If you have been slacking off, you will get a kick in the butt and pushed into the right direction, which can be a very painful process. If you've been working diligently (Saturn rewards hard work), then you will reap the fruits of your labor. In this case, the Saturn Return can be a joyous time.

You don't have to wait for your Saturn Return to get serious about your life. Start now. I started changing careers and making plans at 23. It made my Saturn Return fairly smooth as a result. Put in the hard work now to spare yourself many painful lessons later on.
