Topic: I Love Attention, but I'm Shy

I'm confused.
I love attention but at the same time I'm very shy. I don't like being the CENTER of attention, but I love to be admired. In numerology, this has to do with my life path number being 11/2. 1 is the individual/strong identity/self. Two 1's amplify the effect. 2 is the other/support/partner. I often find myself swaying between the spotlight and behind the stage and it feels so weird because when I do have the spotlight I love it, but I'm so shyyy IP: Logged |

Could be your cardinal energy. I was expecting you to have some Aries to be honest but you do have Cap Sun in the 4th and Cancer Mars in the 10th as well as Jupiter in Libra in the 1st (all cardinal energy). In my experience, just like you said, cardinal signs like to be admired rather than just being the centre of attention (that's more leo - fixed) but with cardinal energy, these people like to be initiators and leaders in their own way. Aries obviously is the pioneer but Capricorns also love to be admired and respected for their hard work; cancers are emotionally selfish (no offense to cancers) and like to be given attention to satisfy their emotional needs; libras I don't have much experience with but they like having partners and being nice to others so I wouldn't be surprised if they used charm to get attention. That sounded more negative than I intended, lol.That's been my experience with cardinal energy anyways. As for being shy, you've got virgo rising and chart ruler in the fourth (a fairly private house). And saturn in the 5th. Actually, now that I think about it, I'd say Saturn in the 5th explains you situation best. Forget the cardinal signs, lol. I'd look into that placement. Just my two cents. IP: Logged |

I was expecting Leo Sun with Pisce rising! LOLYour problem isn't that difficult to remedy. Many famous people overcame it. One example is Michael Jackson. He was very sensitive and shy but on stage....he was a performer!
Study those people who overcame it and how. May be read their autobiography or watch their interviews where they tell their stories.

Mars/Venus aspects like to be admired I think. My Mars conjunct Venus does at times, but ya, I used to be shy too. Now I'm just discriminating  IP: Logged |

agree. this would capture the reason imo. capricorn has a real deep-seeded need to be admired and will like it a lot (especially if it's for work-achievements) and since you also have the 10th house mars, which favors success in work, it's not surprising you'll want admiration. you might not be wanting admiration for your body or tight clothes and that sort of thing (the virgo rising will make you too outwardly shy for that), but you will enjoy attention, especially from work or school-mates and for any achievements in your professional life. you have the moon/mars trine from 2 to 10, and that usually gives great career successes and a longing for achievement in career. it often bodes well for earning success and is a solid placement for career. i would say that the virgo rising and cap sun, with the 10th mars and moon in 2 actually makes for a very favorable career chart, someone who will get outward accolades IP: Logged |
