What are the similarities and differences? Are they similar for the most part or might there be more differences between these two?IP: Logged |

Of course.. Going by simple traditional astrology:Scorpio moon is going to be much more Plutonian/Scorpio-like emotionally.. While Scorpio Ascendant may have a more underlying, overall resonance with Scorpio.. Of course... Scorpio being the sign it is, having it as an ascendant will more than likely also manifest emotionally, to a certain degree. Now.. Rather than being as intense as a Scorpio moon, an ascendant may be a little more laid back, but come off as being more intense.. Of course, Pluto/Scorpio in general has a lot more to do with just Intensity.. But, on a surface level, to someone who doesn't know the person well, it will probably be the most noticeable thing coming from Pluto/Scorpio . (I'm not sure if that made sense or not.. Lol..) Hi, I'm both scorpio moon and rising so my response may be biased buuut from experience I'd say a scorpio moon itself is very intense. my best friend who's a scorpio sun with an aqua moon and virgo rising is very carefree and ecstatic. being a libra sun you'd expect me to be very flirty and fickle, but the double scorpio in me makes me serious, nonchalant with deep emotions boiling inside. i have a lot of intuition and use my gut instincts and can see through people/situations my scorpio friend can't because her aqua moon only sees the good in people and can be very detached from people therefore she can't pick up vibes. but she is one smart ************ . just because her moon is carefree doesn't mean she's not assertive or can't say no to someone, and although she's not a possessive and jealous person, she CAN be. there's a difference between being something in general as it's your personality and then having potential to be it, if someone or something can bring it out of you. but to really answer your question, it all depends tbh. you can have a air moon, fire earth sun, and a scorpio rising with pluto aspecting it's moon and find they have a very intense emotional nature or you can have a scorpio moon with a air rising and sun, with lots of uranus, saturn or venus aspecting it's moon and so they have bits and pieces of the other planets' energies so the full scoroio moon isn't fully in effect...it all depends. BUT from experience the moon will be stronger in terms of feelings, emotions, what makes them feel safe...IP: Logged |

There will be more similarities than differences since they have in common the sign of Scorpio. Moon relates to one's personal needs and the repository of memories and experiences, as well as the feminine principle. It is how one processes what happens at the gut level. In Scorpio it is anchored deep and feels/looks for the fullest experience and intensity of these. Here is my description of Scorpio on the Asc: https://kannonmcafee.wordpress.com/rising-signs-2/#scorpio Both types can be private, but I've found Moon in Scorpio types tend to be more secretive on average. Note: very often charts are off as-is. Many supposed Scorpio rising persons are actually Libra rising. ------------------ Astrology & natural medicine blog: 3D full sky astrology with declinations Complete Rising Sign descriptions IP: Logged |

Obviously as stated above, it would be the Moon. I've always thought that as well, the Moon is a little deeper than the Ascendant but one isn't really stronger than the other. From your Sun, Moon and ASC those are all part of your personality. Just in my opinion, I've always thought: Ascendant - how others see you, how you come across Sun - who you are Moon - who you REALLY are (when nobody's watching). Only your family members and closest friends, significant others can see your Moon sign. But in some instances your Moon can be shown on the outside as well. Especially if your Moon is in the 1st house like Anisa (Moon conj Ascendant).
