I lost my job suddenly yesterday--were there any significant aspects to point to this?

I'm a Scorpio--and Saturn in Scorpio has been ROUGH--could it have been that???

I think so.

Mostly I believe it was Saturn on the cusp of Sagittarius.

What about your 10th, and maybe 6th house?
Perhaps the new moon as well.

Just some thoughts!

I'm sorry.

Perhaps transits to your Vertex, if your birthtime is correct ?

Don't mean to be alarmist, but Saturn in Sag will be more challenging money-wise than Saturn on your Sun.

So, Saturn in Scorpio may be a good time to lock in a decent paying job.

Really? Why is that?

I have to be careful with Venus Retro since Venus rules my 10th House...Venus doesn't go direct until September..:/ That's when Saturn will be in Sag...and then Mercury Retro starts Sept. 17th...Have a small window of time to sign and begin a new job...thoughts?

Yes.

As a Scorpio Sagittarius is your solar 2nd house of earned income & values. Saturn here will attempt to check the money that flows in, and only allow through needed funds, extras will most likely be trimmed. The effect is feeling that money is tight, or as soon as you get it it's earmarked for something.

This transit won't prevent you from finding work, just high paying jobs...generally.

10HR could be read as a career issue revisited. You also have tJupiter in your solar 10th. That can be helpful.

Saturn in the 2nd won't block you finding work. Just that he'll try to wrest control of the purse strings. And the jobs you find with Saturn here tends to have reduced salaries.

I was just thinking "close a door, open a door". With the new moon I mean, but I may be way off. It was a thought.

Hi Nine--I'm also a Virgo rising (really Leo at 29 degrees, but my transits line up with Virgo)..

My Jupiter will be on my ASC soon and my Saturn, which is at the IC right now is going up--which I've read means life is on the "up and up" now.

Also, all of my progressed angles are at 29 degrees--what do you think this means for getting a new job that I will actually like AND get paid well? Or does my Sun sign's transits supersede?

Oh, your progressed angles explain it!

Starting a new chapter!

You may not see anything immediately. As in, maybe you'll find a job that you don't see yourself staying at for long or doesn't pay like you would want but unknown to you more doors may open later and it can blossom into something that you love and pays well. (A few years later when your angles have settled into their new homes)

Happened to me!

DopGang--please tell me more!!

I've been through so much change and struggle in my career--I'd love to get away from this "chapter" in my life..

How does all of this work? My progressed ASC changes to Libra as well at the end of the year...I've been baffled by it all--don't know what it really means? What happened to you when this occurred?

What will happen at 29, 0, 1, etc...?

My new angles in a year will be at 0 degrees at:
ASC in Libra
IC in Cap
DSC in Aries
MC in Cancer

I'm not sure how the astrological workings of it operate but I've seen things like it before!

Similar to you, I lost my job then.
I took the first job that would make ends meet, though it was a 45 minute drive and $2 less per hour. I had to take on a roommate too!
But, years later and I'm still here and slowly working my way up the ladder or at least bringing valuable skills to the team.

My ic/mc axis had moved well past (5 degrees) but my asc/dsc sat at 29 at that exact time.
Also had several other upheavals.

Yes. It seems that transiting Saturn sticks out.

Saturn square Saturn in 1st- More serious outlook.

Saturn conjunct Mercury(ruler of your 10th house cusp Gemini)-Austere conditions at work or more responsibility given- often Saturn in 10th can also indicate an ending in one's taken career direction.

Saturn transiting the 4th-Feeling "cramped" emotionally or ill at ease.

4th house is peace of mind and Saturn on it suggests challenging conditions that can make you feel ill at ease.

The conjunct aspect with Mercury suggests that you may have to discipline yourself and start thinking conservatively.

Could this be temporary perhaps?Do you have any plans in place?

The conjunct aspect to Mercury suggests that your mind is sound enough right now to come up with something. And it'll be on your mind constantly(4th)

Hi Aries 23--I recently noticed as Saturn came back to Scorpio--I started taking action and thinking about product idea I have been working on for years. I really started to take action on it last year--however, I stopped as I started a new job in Sept 2014 (the one I just lost)...

What are your thoughts on my progressed angles at 29?

Anything else you see? I'll add everything feels stuck to me--career, love, money, etc. It feels like it's me and myself right now...

Dopgang--I found this excellent article that explains progressions at critical degrees--so similar to what you experienced!

the feeling of being "stuck" is that Saturn on your Mercury- it has tendency of making things feel very monotonous.

Adding to that, that Neptune sitting on the 7th is not inspiring.

Keep in mind that what you are feeling is driven by context. And Saturn can make it feel like it is "fixed",but it is not "fixed" in any way. It will pass

ScorpieScorp,

It sounds to me like Saturn wants you to be "you and yourself" so you can focus entirely on something of significance. This product idea you mentioned sounds fascinating. I would invest my energy there if I were you, since everything else is at a standstill, and hopefully once Saturn goes direct again life will start 'speeding up'

I used to get very angry and upset with these 'quiet' phases when nothing was happening no matter what I did, but looking back it was always necessary so I can work on something internally in order to be 'ready' for the next big thing.

Saturn has been strolling around my MC over the past year, and I've been feeling 'stuck', even imprisoned by my corporate job - but I've also, very slowly, been developing a concept for my own business, and hopefully once Saturn goes direct again and passes my MC for the 3rd and final time, I'll be able to manifest it in reality

XOXO Aries23! Thanks for that insight. I've been feeling stuck for a while--Saturn has been on me for 3 years now..I feel like a one of those slingback ready to take flight.
