In September transit Saturn will be in my 6th house.. it'll square my Moon (lord of 1st) then trine Jupiter (lord of 6th H) Venus and Mars and conjuct Uranus (lotd of 8th H)

I am wondering if some of these could indicate weight loss.. What's your opinion?

What transits/progression made you lose weight and how?

Usually, you'd be lighter if Saturn transit 1st H. Saturn in 6th could mean, hard work if job related or if it's health, you may have a hard time with your health. Hope it's not the latter.

But you being Cancer rising, I can see why you'd have a weight issue. Can't blame you from liking food. I am usually like that.... my desire is bigger than my stomach. lol

Weird I've heard Jupite in 1st/ 2nd/ 6th could indicate weight gain and Saturn in 1st / 6th weight loss..

It's not just my ASC.. I know many cancer ASCs that do not like food / sweets at all.
I think it's fault of both Venus Mars Jupiter in the 2nd H
and the fact that 6th H cusp is in Saggi (Jupiter's lordship)

Have you ever lose weight?

In addition to health issues or challenges at work, as astra7 mentioned, you could actually lose weight at this time, and/or start a new diet / change your eating habits. You might also start working out if you don't already.

I can attest to health issues with tSaturn in the 6H, and challenges related to work/studies.

I've never really had weight issues, except at some point I had some eating disorders; but currently my weight is pretty much stable and I am happy with it.

Still have some troubles with the food I eat (my body is extremely sensitive to all kinds of food, especially "junk" food and drinks) so I'm still trying to find the right diet for me. The issue here is health vs. pleasure. Now, I know it's entirely possible to eat healthy and love it, but I have an incredible sweet tooth and it's hard to just cut the carbs/sugar out. Besides, eating healthy (paradoxically) costs a lot of money, and I genuinely can't afford it at this time (though I still try to not go into extremes and binge eat and so on; however it's always a challenge).
I must add I have a packed 6H with Venus and Jupiter conjunct (Venus being the ruler of the 6H)...

I wish you good luck!

DOux Reve

I already have health issues
(one of all those issues has to do with my heart)

I don't work and I don't work out.
Do you think it's a good time for an operation or not?

Ladia (an astrologer)
Says that a good time to lose weight is during waning moon and build muscle during waxing moon.

That said, I do exercise year round several days a week. (Probably my Virgo?)
I struggle with diet though. LOL

Of course! I forgot about the new diet bit.

OP, if you have a heart condition and find it difficult to do exercise, you can still loose weight!! Start counting how much calories you take. You will be surprised how much you are eating. I wanted to lose weight so I started to weigh and calculate calories for each meal and recorded into Excel sheet together with my progress! Then I really stuck to my daily calorie which was about 1200kcal. I still ate desserts and whatever I wanted but the point is to sticking with 1200 kcal. It's simply science, if you eat more than your daily calorie amount, of course you are going to store the extra as fat. Cut carbs. You can eat tons of veg and meat but carb is the problem because it gets converted into fat.

I didn't go for run or gym. I did a bit of Callenetics for tum which use microscopic movements but very effective. My weight loss was due to calorie counting though.

Be careful. In 2010 tSaturn entered my 6th and opposed my nMars. I began getting in great shape and it ultimately lead to a bad knee injury that put me down for 2-3 months and limping for another 5-6.

Back to normal now except for clicks and a less running endurance. Can't run a marathon anymore but I can do up to 8 miles on concrete.

I wouldn't say carbs get converted to fat. I know what you mean but I think the phrasing is misleading.

I'd say avoid carbs because they're ultimately unsatisfying in terms of satiety for the amount of calories you would eat. You'll overeat with carbs because it doesn't fill you as long as vegetables or protein sources. The overeating of carbs will lead to excess calories which will then lead to fat gain.

I'm just nitpicking the wording a bit because people take platitudes like that and run with it without understanding.

Other than my nitpicking on wording Astra gave great advice. Calorie counting is a must in my book. Take it from the Taurus Ascendant with Jupiter in the 1st - all I do is eat. If I don't count my cals and follow my wants I get fat. I've counted my calories every day for the past 6 years.

An excel sheet is quite fine; I use the app Loseit.

If you want to lose weight--try to Dr. Furhman's Eat to Live. It's nothing crazy--just unprocessed, whole foods. It's pretty much Vegan (can have a little meat a week) and no to little salt/oil.

My mom was a 180 pads, and 6 months later she was 120. She also did some moderate walking and weight lifting. This diet will help you finally get off of meds and feel energetic!

Try it for a month...and see if it works for you!

Before Saturn transited my 6th house. Saturn trined my Mars. I got into running like never before. I also started to watch what I ate. I didn't really notice the results until Saturn entered Scorpio. Others took notice too!

Still in my 6th house. At one point I was down to 117 pounds. I'm short btw. I'm around 127 lately but that is still way better of a weight compared to the Saturn Virgo and Libra era for me!

There is that....carb won't make you fill up that you eat more and end up calorific. But if you eat a portion of KFC fries, for example, that alone is over 300kcal!!! But carb does get converted and stored as fat if you consume excess calories. You can eat a ton of tomato or veg (exception of potato, sweetcorns, pumpkins etc...those are sweet carbs) and easily be below your daily calorie amount.

Saturn transits conjunct/square/opp/parallel/contra-parallel natal Asc, Jupiter are the ones that are the best times for constructively cutting back on one's intake of food, and initiating improved habits.

Generally, yes, but these are opportunities, not necessarily outcomes. Saturn + Neptune transits can result in weight loss, but not necessarily from healthy means.

I experienced my biggest weight loss a couple of years ago:
-tSaturn was in my 5th house, squaring my moon and conjunct Chiron, trine Ascendant
-tPluto was leaving a conjunction with Venus (6th) and moving towards my Descendant
-Oddly enough, tJupiter was moving towards my Ascendant, but it was also trine Saturn

I went on Paleo for half of a year + CrossFit.

Recently also have taken up interest in fitness:

Like you, I am a Cancer Ascendant, so tSaturn is in my 6th rn.
-Moving into a trine with my natal Saturn

Wow! thank you

I've had some of those aspects.
(especially those mentioned by Kanon) that helped some of you losing weight but I didn't lose any weight at all.. or I lost liek 3 kgs the most.. and then gained those weight twice thrice etc..

I've been eating like a pig since I was 12 years old. But I started gaining weight when I was 18 years old.. What transits could indicate weight gain for 5-6 maybe more years? I am eating less than ever and gainin more than ever..

Those last 2 years I had T. Jupiter in my 1st and now he is in my 2nd conjucting N. Jupiter Venus and Mars in 2nd.. Natal Jupiter is lord of my 6th..

St the time Jupiter was in my 1st and in my 2nd H T Saturn squared my Asc Moon Sun Mercury Mars Venus Jupiter Saturn Neptune Uranus Pluto.. and if I am right.. Saturn transits began before T Jupiter was in my 1st.

But no important weight loss happened

Saturn in the first didn't do it for me. In the sixth, I was underweight.
