Hi all, I am new to this site...just joined yesterday. I am a Leo sun, Aquarius moon, Sag asc. Is there anyone on here that has an Aquarius moon? I'm asking because I am definitely struggling with having this particular placement. Aquarius moons are known to be aloof, eccentric, independent, and humanitarian. I agree that I am this type of person. At the same time I hate having this placement. I am such a loner because of it. I have trouble making/keeping friends. I don't want to be this way. I want new friends but my idea of a perfect friend is nonexistent. Am I the only Aquarius moon feeling this way? I am also told that I look unapproachable and cold. Like I have a mean look on my face. But I assure you I don't intentionally do this. Appreciate anyones reply even if you aren't an Aquarius moon! IP: Logged |

Hi and welcome! Both my bf and I have Aqua Moons (me Leo Asc/Scorpio Sun, he Scorpio Asc/Leo Sun). And yes, we are both very independent and need lots of time alone. I would feel claustrophobic being in the company of friends or anyone else for more than half a day. Up to 3 or 4 hours is pleasant - more tends to become dull and exhausting. Any why is that? Several reasons come to mind: 1) I probably need to recharge my batteries more often than most, hence the time alone. 2) I am super clever and being with those less interesting than me is boring , 3) My internal world is unusual and fascinating - far more interesting than the world I encounter with friends. 4) I need to think things through and this mental processing time in an essential break. I quite like my Aqua Moon. It makes me less dependent on people. I have a fewer friends than most - but they are very good friends. I fail to understand the inane chatter that many people endure on a daily basis in the company of a friend or, god forbid - groups of friends. How and why on earth! I probably have a superiority complex . IP: Logged |

I do agree with you , we are more aloof and distanced at a emotional level than most people, but that doesnt mean we make less friends, personally i have lots of acquaintances with whom i can chit chat and small talk a bit , but i do have several friends i hang out with too , very diverse in thinking ways and life styles, but i gotta admit i am very distant at emotionally level i dont feel a particual emotional bond with them , i just appreciate them as they are but am definitely not bound of missing people or "needing" to be with them.Im Leo sun , Aquarius moon/asc IP: Logged |

Agree a lot with what Astro keen said (apart from the superiority part). Aqua moon here and boy do I like my solitude to do my own thing (which is usually creative, recreational or study based). I have a slightly short attention span when it comes to certain people in my life, which has actually caused friction within my family. I hate drama and drama-related chatter and wish people would at least try to "fix" their problems rather than go on about them and take responsibility of their own happiness (maybe that's my Virgo sun being all practical though). Maybe the posters above with their Aqua moon/Leo sun opposition find it especially difficult, since Leo has all the fixed qualities of Aquarius plus some ego ones. too. I think because of my moon-sun quincux (Aquarius-Virgo) it's less tense but I still definitely have two distinct parts to my personality. I have Aqua moon opposite Venus in Leo though so I really need my space to be creative, at the very least. I feel really oppressed if someone is trying to make demands on my time which affect that area of my life. IP: Logged |

Hello all! Thank you for replying I'm glad that I'm not the only one. Maybe the reason I don't have many friends is because I put my alone time first. Jimmy2321 what you said is basically what I was probably trying to say. Not having to "need" to hang out with people. I definitely agree also that I do have a lot of acquaintances who I can chat with. Aquarius moons are said to known many people from all different walks of life. Astro Keen thank you for your breakdown. I agree that the Aqua moons internal world is quite interesting and indescribable. One other question...are any of you as humanitarian as the Aqua moon is known to be? My humanitarian streak definitely came out this year when I began volunteering at a school in inner city Chicago. Hey, sweetie, don't feel sad. No, you're not the only one. But, hey, other Aquarians might understand you and live up to your expectations. Do you have any aspect to NEPTUNE, Pisces, or a 12th house influence perhaps ? That's usually what makes the lonely Aquarians expect too much from their friends. In any case, Madeline... Be proud of who you are. Aquarius MOONs are beautiful people, inside and outside. Welcome to LL. IP: Logged |

Hey, I am also an aquarius moon but my moon is in the 4th house. So I think that this makes me so much more emotional and dependent on people than I would have been otherwise. I also have a difficult time making friends not because I am unfriendly, but because I never ever fit in. I only have 1 or 2 close friends who understand me. It sucks to be a loner but I think its better to have a couple of close friends than many friends. I always seems to be out of sync with people that I meet. They never think like me or like different things than me. I am only now starting to embrace my uniqueness IP: Logged |

My sister's an aquarius moon w/ sagittarius sun. Boy, does she love/need her freedom and space! Don't know if you follow chinese astrology at all, but she's year of the monkey on top of everything else. She's very independent and needs lots of alone time. She doesn't do well with clingy people. Yet, at the same time, she needs social interaction and can get quite depressed when she doesn't have many friends to talk to or spend time with. I guess she needs loyalty but with space. I can see how that can be a little confusing to people who don't understand that tendency. I'm a Libra moon and I appreciate alone time as well, but my sister needs a lot more. Your situation may be a little different because of your Leo sun. Your ego craves attention and personal connections while you're emotionally aloof and view the world as a whole, instead of individual people. Opposing sun and moon is always frustrating from what I've observed. Personally, I would just get involved with more social things/events. Random stuff. Maybe you'll meet potential friends that way? Marilyn Monroe and Victoria Beckham have Aquarius Moons! So isolation is not always the primary theme with this moon necessarily. It's an odd moon. I feel really at peace with Capricorn and Virgo moons weirdly enough, I think those other moons go through similar issues. IP: Logged |

madeleineleo23, how many wonderful people with Aqua Moons here, and I'm another In my 11th, conj Saturn, which adds to the loner thing, and on top of rarely finding someone with whom to relate, I get picky too! But I've never had problems of feeling alone, alas I'm separated from my very close friends. I see my own Moon as one of the most creative, but watch out for those existential questions that come once in a while to bug you Also, I've noticed that the independent part of an Aqua Moon reflects in dealing with emotions in a subtle way, so not too much dwelling in emotions, just talking with glances. Have a gracious day <3 IP: Logged |

My neptune is in Capricorn, my saturn is in pisces as well as my 3rd house. My 12th house is in scorpio. I'm still learning about the houses. Thank you so much IP: Logged |

The "never fitting in" part is so true! I've always felt extremely different from everyone else. Its because of this that I feel so distant from everyone else. In groups I tend to isolate myself. Aquarius moons are truly one of a kind.

You're doing great. What degree is your NEPTUNE -- is it conjunct your MOON by any chance, even if it's out of sign ? Planets in the 12th house can get a little tricky, too. IP: Logged |

Yep. Everything is so true I am so socially challenged and I know it. lol It makes me sad because I too love people and would like to get close to them but my awkwardness probably repels most people. I do have a few friends who understand me the way I am and I am thankful. Not everyone is meant to have hundreds of friends and maybe we are born this way for a reason. I do feel like I accomplish a lot in my alone time. So don't feel bad! We've got Aquarius moon community here who understand you. IP: Logged |

I have an Aquarian moon as well (solar Scorpio). As I've aged, I have found it easier to integrate the Aquarian independence with the need for connection. It just takes experience. It's not the frequency and number of the connections you establish with people, it's the QUALITY of it. As time has progressed, I have come to appreciate the independence more than the apparent loneliness an Aqua moon gives. Also, Aqua moon makes you much less judgmental than most people, so over time you attract friends naturally because they don't feel judged in your company. Finally, Aquarian people will naturally fit with you on friendship levels. You might find you'll attract them as the years go by IP: Logged |

How have you Aquarian moons been doing relationship wise? Any luck in this department or has it been difficult? Because I look so cold and unapproachable I feel like it repels people away. Haha. IP: Logged |

~ Again, more of the same Ultra conservative and orthodox astrologers have done a nice marketing campaign to put lots of negativity in this particular Moon Sign, based in the Theosophy of planetary dignities. Which fall in their own when analyzing External Planets ( when taking a look at personals, it's easy to fail the interpretation) because Cancerian Jupiter is not better than Sagittarian Jupiter, just as Libran Saturn is not "better" as Capricorn Saturn. Anyway, this is just my opinion, and I see no point in promoting it, because being stoned by dogmatic fellas is not something very pleasing. Just being straightforward. So, The only notorius "Defect" or mistake that Aquarius Moon would make, it's to overrate its own intellectual capabilities. Thinking that oneself is always 1 step ahead, is an easy way to be disappointed of mankind. And if a Human Being gets easily disappointed with Mankind? Then, How more disappointed would get a "Divine" ? ( That's another Jab to the jaw to Abrahamic faiths, because disappointment/anger and punishment is not part of a Real "Divine/Benevolent" nature ) If punishment is the solution to correct mistakes, then we are not very different from machines. So, that would be another task for Aquarius, to achieve true wisdom but at the same time getting 'in-sync- with one's humanity and emotions. Disappointment doesn't lead to love. Fraternity and Solidarity are the best virtues of Aquarius ( yet sometimes both need to be developed as a Karmic task ) IP: Logged |

Yep, I am. At least I think so. I aspire to make the world a better place - an ideal that becomes stronger as I grow older. I'm very left wing - it would be interesting to check if Aqua Moons predominate amongst left leaning people.

Just to give you another perspective, some people need this moon, it's like an antidote to abuse which has been set upon people with abuse aspects. If you had Cancer moon or something sensitive....you'd be a wreck! At least, with Aqua moon, they can cut the tie and move on though they will still have to face the wrath of abuse and pick up the pieces for rest of their life. I am grateful of this placement because my life has been nothing but abuse.

lol this made me chuckle. I had a deeply intense romantic boyfriend once and one afternoon we were taking a stroll through a park and he was saying how beautiful I was and how much he loved me and I immediately said 'I am hungry!' I have Aquarius moon...we are a strange species. I have been called dicey and unpredictable many times. IP: Logged |
