I met someone last year during Venus retrograde. I read online, it said the love relationship won't last long if Venus retrograde during first meeting. After Venus goes direct, one or both will regret. Is that true love relationship never can work out if Venus retrograde at FMC? If so, how long will the love relationship probably last? A few months or just one or two years at most? Can anyone share the experiences? Thanks!

Astrology is never that simple or fatalistic. The effect will depend upon a variety of factors in the natal charts, the synastry, the composite, etc. Please don't live your life worrying about one planet in retrograde. IP: Logged |

^ That is true.However... I have first-hand experience with Venus Rx and a new meeting/relationship. Things did indeed change drastically after Venus turned direct, and the relationship fell apart a few months later. It lasted about 6 months, tops. IP: Logged |

If you want to make it work then find the spot where Venus began to slow down not the rx point, and if you can make it last until Venus is there in forward motion then do something to renew the relationship. If that is not possible, then it is very important to understand the lessons of that relationship.------------------ Seimei, Jupiter Nadir IP: Logged |

^ Sorry to hear that, athenaia.I honestly can't look back and say it was a good relationship, either. It was pretty bad and I really don't like thinking about it. IP: Logged |

There is no way to answer this question. A single such factor in astrology never by itself determines ANY human outcomes! While we may prefer that there not be bumps in the path of a relationship with a Venus-Rx factor, this does not 'doom' the relationship to failure. Statistical frequency of such Venus-Rx relationships not lasting is not proof of a 'shall not' rule or a determiner of outcomes. The Venus-Rx factor at first meeting or in a marriage chart might signal some unexpected matters or changing of feelings taking place, but that should be to assume those issues cannot be resolved or translate into a rule or a prediction of every relationship. My wife and I got together during Venus-Rx of March 2009. We celebrated out 4th wedding anniversary this year. Spirit brought us together. Invest in the relationship itself and don't make sheer unpassable mountainsides out of astrological mole hills. ------------------

I also don't like looking back on that time in my life. Crazy how delusional I was about it all (Neptune was also near my Moon at the time so that's probably more to blame then Venus RX itself....)

Thanks,Delilah423.. Our synastry and composite don't look bad, composite looks quite good, but the relationship didn't take off officially. Sudden change came to him after meeting. IP: Logged |

Thanks for sharing, Doux Rêve. I didn't expect to have a love relationship with him. We emailed for about 1.5 years online before we met at last. We took each other just friends before we met in real. There is mutual attraction when we met. After we met, sudden change came to him, his job location changed, we cannot meet again. We still remain contact. When I look at our FMC, I found Venus retrograde, searching online, all said it was bad to develop a relationship during Venus retrograde. So I want to see if it will end soon, if yes, when?

Thank you, Seisei.
I still keep in touch with him, only by emails. We haven't met each other again since that first meeting. It was his job that caused the trouble. His job location changed far away.

Thanks for sharing, Kannon McAfee. Your exprience made me feel a little positive now.You and your wife must have very strong synastry and composite. I met him in person as online friend. Didn't expect the attraction, neither did he. Since that meeting, it has been 1.5 years passed, we didn't meet again, because he is too far far away and we cannot get a chance to be together. We still remain contact, I just don't know how far it will go. Sometimes I want to give up. IP: Logged |

Sorry to hear about, athenaia. You mean that relationship(started at Venus retrograde) lasted for a few years? How did you end it? You lost feeling each other? Can you share more if you don't mind. IP: Logged |

Yikes! Full on warfare. That's all I can say. I also don't like looking back on that time in my life. Crazy how delusional I was about it all (Neptune was also near my Moon at the time so that's probably more to blame then Venus RX itself....)
Ok, sorry, I just saw it. I am sorry, but we learned from those experiences. IP: Logged |

My bf and I met Jan 2014 during Venus retrograde and we are still together. I am wondering if he may propose during the next one (as we are going on a trip). It's had it's ups and downs but the love is very much there. He does have Venus retrograde in his natal - don't know if that makes a difference.

I met my longest relationship partner during Venus Rx in 1999. We didn't start dating until 2000. We are still close now and could easily start up a romantic relationship (been engaged twice). IP: Logged |

Another good example, thanks for sharing, racole12. I wish you good luck. IP: Logged |

The reason why there is such consensus, is because... When Venus goes retrograde, generally the Venus's transit effects are stronger So I think the assumption is that... perhaps certain people may not be able to love their partner as much as they did during Venus retrograde, leading the partnership to vulnerability due to changes being madeBut I don't think this applies to everyone. We need to look at, what sign the venus was retrograding in, what degree, and how the lovers' natal chart is affected
