And do the sun neptune person not always see themselves accurately? bc for a long time i thought i was an open person until friends of me that have known me for years told me (and also made me realise) that i am very closed off and secretive about myself. And then i realised that everytime i talk i dont really talk about myself its more directed at something else other than me, and when asked about me i will quickly change subjects to something else. I wasn`t aware of how secretive i really was. Two friends that have known me for years told me also once that they dont know where they have me. Is it hard for people to really get to know a sun square neptune person? btw this isn`t the only neptune aspect i have.

I think I have this aspect very widely. ..my sun and neptune trine by sign but theyre like tbe other end of their respective signs to each other so it makes a square. My moon and neptune are squared too, but yes I think I have the same problem. Its really hard for me to know what people really think of me...or at least whatever theh tell me, it always surprises me! I also jump to conclusions alot and its hard for me to change my ideas about what people think once I have done. I usually assume everyone dislikes or is indifferent, which yknow is probably true.

I have same aspect plus neptun actually squares my sun/nn/jupiter conjunction. Even my sun sign Aries, my Asc Leo, moon/mars Taurus etc. are kind of signs that are really self-assured and confident signs. This square kills me literally and it is my less favourite aspect. I can say I am misunderstood most of times by others and I am easily down to other's criticism. I can not see clearly myself and this is getting more as years pass. As a kid, I was more Aries, had still my Neptunian vibes but was more ready to clash. Now I feel like a lost fish.I have always felt that I am not understood. I say something nice and people get it the opposite way and feel offended. I am an extraovert people with so many fire placements. I need people and can't stay away from them for a long time. Funnily, I have felt myself always a loner and when I see people's reactions I become more and more introvert. I would appreciate really any comments about that.

Yeah.. I could see that.

I think Pluto/Scorpio/the 8th house could also play a role In this too.. Even if it is something as simple as a quincunx/semi sextile/semi square between Pluto and the Sun..

And, of course.. Not to say that it does this entirely on its own.. But.. Along with the Neptune/Pisces/12th house placements, I could see it kind of strengthening this effect.

I'd be curious if you have any 8th house/Scorpio planets and what you have aspecting Pluto.

To me.. Neptune isn't really secretive in the way that it purposefully hides things from people.. Rather, it doesn't understand what it is that is within itself, so it remains a secret from those around it. Or, rather.. The things remain a secret because it would be too hard for the individual to explain to every single person they interact with.. The thing is, Neptune can actually be extremely straightforward and direct once it understands what it is that it thinks/feels/experiences.. The only problem is, a lot of the times, it doesn't understand entirely. So.. I would feel like someone with a strong Neptune would be more likely to hide things in which they aren't certain about.. Like.. For example.. Someone with a strong Neptune may not know for sure how they feel about religion. So, they generally won't speak about it when asked. They want to make sure they KNOW exactly how they feel before they speak on something. However, they may never reach that conclusion.. So, to the people on the outside, that side of the individual remains a mystery to the public. Not simply because the person intends entirely for it to be that way, but because they don't want to put something forth that isn't truly of themselves (For lack of a better way of saying it..) of course.. As I also kind of already said.. Neptune is very much a planet of Mysticism. So.. Someone with a strong Neptune may not talk about certain things because it is hard for them to explain in simple, quick terms. (Once again, for lack of a better way of saying it..)

Pluto would more so be the planet that purposefully hides things, because there is a certain amount of vulnerability in other people knowing them on an extremely deep level. However, Pluto would only be willing to share this vulnerability with a very very small amount of people.

Wow thank you for this, you really explained neptune well for me. I relate to alot of what you said. When i feel uncertain about something i will stay quiet about it or give a vague response. And more and more now i have started to see hidden sides that was even hidden for me of my personality come more to the surface. I do have pluto square venus, mars semisextile pluto and one site showed that i have sun and merc semisquare pluto but that was the only site that have ever showed that. I am unsure of my asc bc i dont know the time of my birth but my mom said i was born at night so pluto either trines, squares or sextiles it.

but i do see myself in both of the neptunian and plutonian ways of hiding.

I agree with readingthestars, Neptune is more vague/uncategorized/enigmatic than purposely secretive. Neptune rules Pisces, afterall.

I have my moon/mars square Neptune. A lot of my acquaintances and even friends think I'm different things, but they all can't quite figure me out completely.

I have 8th house pisces sun square 5th house neptune. Beauty, isn't it?

Yes people have hard time to know me, even my ex-husband didn't quite know me after 10 years of marriage.

I am so diffusive that I've never been able to define my personality as other people do.
