I have a question that I am a bit perplexed about.

I am a Pisces. And I've always believed that you are compatible with other signs in your Fire/Air/Water group. So therefore I should be compatible with other Water signs. However, what confuses me is that my 1st house is in Leo, so therefore anyone's Sun who is in Cancer is in my 12th house. I've read that 12th house synastry is bad news. And usually a sun placement in this house doesn't make an aspect to many of my other planets.

Can anyone provide insight on this matter? I like Cancers but I'm afraid of that 12th house synastry. Should I back away from Cancers even though they are a fellow water sign?

I am a cancerian and sagittarius is on the cusp of my twelth house. I have a very good friend who is a sag. Perhaps his sun is in my eleventh, though. I have also a good capi friend whose sun falls in my twelth. I don't understand what is the problem with 12th house synastry. Can you enlighten me?

I know the 12th refers, among other things, to hidden enemies. But that is only one thing. The 7th house may indicate enemies too, but not hidden, and it also refers to close relationships and marriage. The 12th house also indicates altruistic service, so someone whose sun falls in your 12th house may be of such service to you.

So 12th house synastry is not all bad? Everything I have read about it seems like I should avoid it! I have read a few threads on here before and it was saying how 12th house leads to lack of trust...

Have you ever had experience with 12th house synastry before?

I have. It can be rough. It depends on how the sun is aspected, and other planets that might be in the twelfth house besides the sun. Any Cancer moon or planet could fall in that house. The results could vary. Some planets could be worse than others, like Mars for example. I find Mars in twelfth house synastry to be a placement of irritation.

Venus usually does okay in the twelfth, but aspects can mitigate the influence. The sun can, depending on how it interacts with other planets and the moon.

It's not always bad news. My 12th house is Gemini... and I'm very compatible with all placements in Gemini... literally all of them lol
My Sun in Aries is closely sextile my Chiron in Gemini (my only 12th house placement).

I agree with Starlight. I think it depends on which planets fall on your 12th house. If the planet is comfortable in that house, such as Venus and (maybe) the Moon, you may experience unconditional love from that person and a deeper emotional understanding. But for planets such as the Sun, it might not give the same effect. The Sun wants to shine, but the 12th house says no and it submerges it.

My friend who has her sun in early Gemini overlays my 12th house. I find her quite annoying sometimes because she seems to be always looking for attention from me.

So even though I am a Pisces sun and his Cancer sun is in my 12th, there still might be a problem there? His sun isn't really aspected to my planets.

I just always thought Pisces and Cancer go well together, but if his sun isn't aspected well and it's in my 12th, it might not be so well, right?
