How come Capricorns, in this case Cappy suns - why are they so damm passive when they express emotions? It's like you need a translator to translate what they mean.

They're Cardinal, so they're not normally passive.

Is his Mars in Taurus, Cancer or Pisces?

They're not passive, they're cautious. They're feeling it. They just are afraid if they show you, you'll take it away or use it against them.

Show them its safe, and they'll emote all over you. Well, somewhat anyway.

Sometimes in certain circumstances, especially when I need to think, I control my emotions and keep them in, at least until after I figure stuff out. Therefore, if someone happens to press me during my "time out", I won't give much.

It also depends on my connection with the other person. For me it's about the desire to be close, to be completely open. Seeing/feeling all of my emotions highs and lows is like going on a roller coaster ride. All of my best and my worst. It's very intimate. Only happens when I really really need and want someone to step into my world.

Uhhh

Sometimes I do feel passive, and if I'm expressing "passive" then, I hope people will understand that it is exactly what it seems.

There are times when people want to have a conversation with me about emotions, but I don't have any interesting emotions handy, and then it's annoying because they won't stop requesting a read-out on my emotional state. Or they may just write one themselves, and ask me to sign on the dotted line.

Capricorns ought to be given an opt-out card at birth, so we don't have to endure this kinda thing.

If only I could give this post a gold star.

This scenario has happened to me so many times I've lost count.

agree.

I think cappy and scorps are similar in this way.

When I am angry and upset, I will just expect the other person to wait out and I'll talk whenever I want to

^^ YES.

Sometimes it has taken me years to fully develop an emotion and arrive at something I wanted to say about it.

Totally like fine wine.

I've thought of them as efficient or discerning (I've been using that word lately).
In my mind I've always thought that they want to make it worth it. So that it's not wasted energy and effort.
Like a chess move.
Not to imply at all that it's a game but just that they think a little more about consequences and such things before expressing.

That's how I've thought of it. I'm slowly trying to work toward that (cap draconic sun) but I need a lot of work. Sometimes I just act with recklessness.

Answer: It would make it easier for a partner who want to be in the domineering role.

I have sun, mars, venus,mc,uranus, neptune in capricorn and I have to admit that it is really difficult to express my deepest emotions. I am an open person but exposing your fears and sorrows means being vulnerable. I only share my emotions with my best friends which I know are loyal, trustworthy, love me, accept me as I am and truly care. I need to be sure that the person does not judge me afterwards, gossip around or something like that, because that really hurts and trust me, we capricorns feel deeply. Plus, I don't want to scare away that person. For me it is easier to listen to other's problems and you can really trust me that I treat your exposures carefully. I am even cautious with my mother as she cannot keep any secret and oftentimes she used my "disclosures" to hurt me in a conflict.

I have a Moon in Cap and am anything but passive! What I am is cautious when I feel something is not quite right and the times I've been wrong are very few.

I'm a Capricorn and don't really like expressing my emotions aloud. I feel more comfortable writing them down or not saying anything at all. I hate feeling vulnerable.

Mars in Libra is passive it self. Capricorn men are usually dominating. They are so hard to approach and open up though. I'm a Capricon female and all these years I though I was difficult to open up and fall in love until I fell in love with a Capricorn. Lord have mercy, seriously!

Hello Eric,

Wasn't intending to say ALL Capricorns. I was writing this from my own experiences and perspectives - to gather insights and gain more understanding of the Capricorn energy and personality.
