I feel like my chart just indicates an extremely slow progress through life;

-Taurus ASC -> Venus conj. IC third house.
-SOUTH NODE in Taurus, 1st house / Gemini 2nd (tropical)
-Sun in the 4th house (5th tropical) / the lowest point in my chart
-Saturn 10th house Aquarius / highest point in my chart (does not form opposition to the Sun)
-Pluto conj. DSC in Scorpio

What do yall think of these placements...? And just a chart that indicates slow life progress in general...?

Updated:
-Retro*** 10th house Saturn.
-R Saturn ■ ASC/DSC conj. Pluto (2° orb)
- Also, I am not complaining about this, rather just intrigued, and grateful.

Update 7/18/15 3:14pm
- added tropical placements along with the sidereal.

I would think that it would have to do with something caused by Saturn (delays). Saturn in the 10th would suggest delays in success. I am curious if Saturn aspects your NN at all. I have Saturn conjunct my NN and it's caused everything in my life to become delayed. Is your Saturn RX? That would cause more delays as well.

OP,
When you say slow life progress, are you talking about a particular area of your life like relationships, spiritual awakening, career or absolutely EVERYTHING?

May be, just may be...you were meant to learn about patience in this life? If so, slowness would be most appropriate. I was born to have nothing and some people have life like that.

Oh yes, I do have Retro Saturn... I will update my OP.

I FORGOT TO MENTION, Saturn tightly squares my ASC / DSC with 2° orb, but it doesn't touch my nodes. My Sun however, squares my nodes.

I'm sorry to hear that:/

I do honestly feel like everything has been delayed. Although my spiritual awakening, however, was a few years ago (climax coincided Dec 21 2012, woohoo), but I feel like it was only a "preview" to an older self. But in general, its like whenever "i" want to do something, life says NOPE, NOT GUNNA HAPPEN BUDDY. Slowness probably is a major life lesson for me though... hmp.

Yes, planets/points in fixed signs, particularly Taurus, can mean a slower pace in life. And yes, Saturn can play a role too.

This sense of things 'not happening' at an acceptable pace is in my view also mostly a function of youth and expectations based on goals or social norms. Goals are touted by the ambitious, but most appropriate for the sluggish when they are lacking a vision for their lives.

It is far better to spend time developing a vision for life, and keeping it flexible than to expect things to happen at a certain speed. Depth of connection to life is better than speeding across its surface -- if you ask me.

Very well said, and just the words I needed to read right now(: Thank you(:

You are spot on, actually. I'm very impatient, and I've been delayed time after time... even times when I think I got WAY ahead, I ended up getting pushed back like 4x longer!!! You can imagine being young, the effect this has on me emotionally! While everyone around me seems like they are smooth sailing, it feels like I'm riding a paddle boat through a hurricane, against current. So indeed, social norm has a big impact. Goals too, or how I'd say it, things I want right now! hehe.

I really like how you suggest creating a "flexible" life vision. The word flexible may help tame my very, (currently), rebellious young mind(:

Thanks again!

Hmm, this post got me thinking--I feel like my life is progressing slowly as well...

Could it be:

-Saturn conjunct ASC in H1?
-Sun in H3 widely conjunct IC?
-Jupiter retro in H11?
-Pluto conjunct NN exactly?

I feel like most of my friends have moved on to other phases of life (career, marriage, children, etc) more faster than I have...

Welp, there you go, another person who thinks the same as me, with Saturn in aspect to the ASC.

Sun conj. IC? You were also born at / around midnight, huh?

I was born about an hour before midnight... I've read that this also suppresses an individual, and some research I've done claims the natives life will get better in time. KRS says after 30, 35.

Yeah, my square of Saturn to my ASC is also a tight orb, 2°. I'm guessing you understand where I'm coming from, huh?

SnowCatcher--can you share more about your research with planets conjunct the IC?

I have Sun conjunct IC at 10 orb & Mercury conjunct IC at 4 orb....

Lately it has come to my attention again how differently people can respond to the influence of Saturn. Generally it goes one of two basic ways: (1) great ambitions, to make full use of how parents and your family's social position has set you up -- or -- (2) great caution, slower moving, focusing on just learning to keep up with life generally and to build up/maintain personal strength/health.

In the second, the situation may be that the person just does not have the genetic/physical fiber to push themselves in the manner of the worldly ambitious or 'hard workers.' These differing folks can be in the same family -- even twins with virtually exactly the same birth charts!

Maybe a way of summing it up is that Saturn as a strong influence will not let you extend beyond your actual level of strength (physical or psychological). Its caution is to not take on more territory than you can hold and manage.
