1. It is the most beautiful rose you have ever seen! What do you do? Describe in a few words.I approach it, circle it, look at it from all sides. smell it, touch it (softly not to destroy it) and then continue walking.
2. A beautiful horse catches your eye. You are awestruck, and for some reason you can't take your attention away from it. Why? Describe the horse.
It`s a pitchblack horse, so black that it gleams in the sun. But what strikes me most is how vivacious it is, ti is looking up at me and seems rather curious, and then starts to neigh and races across the meadow, just out of joy of movement.
3. All of a sudden you are in a totally different place, totally different from where you were before. Where are you?
I am in a desert.
Don`t ask me. I was the most surprised myself. Actually my first impression was a different planet. lol With a desert.
I have no clue how that came about.
4. As you ponder your new surroundings, someone taps you on the shoulder. You turn around and it's someone you know. Who is it?
It is a man, dressed in white. I know him but I cannot tell you who it is. the recognition is just out of reach.
5. You are now walking along a path and you stop when you reach water.
Finally. Do you know how HOT and DRY Such a desert is?
Well it is a pond, a very large pond. And interestingly behind the pond, and at the sides, some forest exists, with very green trees, darkgreen trees. So I suppose it cannot have been a desert befroe. I mean have you ever heard about a desert leading into a HUGE forest?
a. Describe the water. For example, is it a large ocean or a small pond? Is it clear or murky? Shallow or deep? Is the water moving?
A large pond, actually so large that it has a bit of a sandy beach in front of it (well desert means sand I suppose).
the water is crystalclear, and almost seems whitish-blue in the part near the sandy "beach" (the desert-side), but in the other part opposite, where the trees are, the water seems almost a little greenish but still very clear.
b. Is the water moving?
Yes, but very slowly.
BTW the black horse somehow made it to the other side of the pond under the trees and is neighing. lol
(sorry such mental journeys tend to take on a life of its own for me)
"iv. Walk around."
This. But of course I try the water, by putting my feet in there.
"6. Drinking container
Having crossed the water you stumble upon a drinking container."
Thank God!
Have you any idea HOW thirsty you get by crossing the desert?
I mean I am not a camel, right?
And since I had no idea I would end up in the desert, I had not been drinking enough of course.
"A. Describe the drinking container."
It`s an amphora, looking coppery.
"B. Do you leave it behind or take it with you?"
I consider taking it with me. But someone might have just left it there and pick it up again, or even if not, if I take it with me, how selfish would that be?
After all some other person might come from that desert, too, and need something to drink.
C. If you take it with you do you fill it or leave it empty?
Since I am really thirsty and the water is clear, I fill it, drink the fresh cold water, then offer the horse something to drink too (I know it could simply drink from th epond itself, so don`t ask me, but he is drinking from that huge amphora, too. lol
Can I keep that horse? I think I just fell in love with a fantasy Black Beauty. )
Anyway, then I refill the amphora and leave it there.
EDIT
Oh I know questions 7 and 8. AT least once I did. I even have that booklet (the magical cube), but I completely forgot what it meant, so I am going to answer here; since I do not remember anymore, I think it will be quite insightful as well.
7. You are now in a desert and you see a cube.
The cube
How big is the cube?
It`s a real big cube, not big as in insurmountable, but you can climb upon it and get a good view on the landscape around. at least 3-5 metres high.
What is its color?
It`s a crystal-cube, however it swirls with everchanging colours, the prevalent colours are silver (that is the basic colour I suppose), pink, green and blue.
How far away is it from you?
Oh, I am standing directly in front of it, maybe 3 metres away, and I have to crane my neck to look onto its top.
Anyway I am going to approach it more closely, for more inspection, and possibly climbing onto it (btw interestingly it seems like there are some stairs chiselled into its right side from me).
apart from these stairs its surface is smooth.
Is it transparent?
yes.
Can you see what is inside?
There is just this whirl-pool of colours swirling. So if there is something inside, I can`t see it.
Oh wait, yes, there is something inside.
the holy grail?
Seriously it looks like there is a chalice inside it, but while the cube is made of crystal colours, this chalice is golden, a very warm golden colour, and it is a strange contrast to the cubes colours outside.
BTW there is clear water in the chalice, as I see now, and a beautiful rose growing outside of it. Strange I did not see it instantly. It`s silvery-whitish-pink.
How big is the cube compared to the desert? What is the ratio?
I do not know about the ratio, but as I said, it is very big.
8. There is a ladder.
No stairs?
"Is the ladder leaning on the cube?"
Yes, of course, what sense would it make to have a ladder somewhere else?
What is the color of the ladder?
It`s a golden-brown colour. bronze.
What is it made of?
it is made of wood, but there is a bronze layer across it, to make it more durable.
"What impression does it give you?"
It is a beautiful ladder, and very useful. It`s simple due to its smooth surface and no ornaments, however it looks precious because of the bronze covering it.
But most of all it is a tool to climb upon the cube, though I wonder why I would do that. after all there is a little door leading inside the cube, so I suppose I could just step through that one, and why did I not see it until I inspected the ladder leaning on the right side to the dor at the cube more closely?
However I think I am going to climb upon it anyay as I amcurious about the view.
What is the distance between the cube and the ladder?
There is no distance, as it it leaning. Well the bottom half is in a distance of maybe half a metre I suppose.
