The sign the planet is in? Or the aspects the planet makes? I always wondered and to me, it seems like the SIGN lays the foundation for the planet and the Aspects it makes is like having some perks for the planet. What do you guys think? IP: Logged |

Kinda surprised you didn't mention the houses too.. Remember, the houses, outside of the moon, are the most personal part of the chart. IP: Logged |

I personally think it kinda depends on which planets.. It seems I notice the houses and aspects before the signs.. However, the signs seem to give a certain shade to the expression. I think it also really depends how specifically you are looking at the chart. It all needs to be taken into account, really.Edit: Also.. No. Signs are 30-degree wide fields of expression in which the polarity alternates from positive to negative as the signs change, and in which an element, quality, etc, is given a background impulse for the planets moving there. The planets are more fundamental than signs. You could still do pretty good astrology without signs IF you use the whole sky and include declinations.

I believe the aspects are generally more powerful than the signs the planets are in, however it depends on which planets are involved. Also, the house where the planet is placed matters. Planets placed in angular (cardinal) houses are said to have the greatest influence, followed by succedent (fixed) and cadent (mutable). IP: Logged |
