I think your sensible and entirely correct statement

Sorry about that. :/

Thanks all for your great replies! I think I have a lot to learn about astrology lol... it would be cool to really watch through some kind of telescope to actually watch it all.

I still don't really know what to think of it all, I just am not sure if I can really grasp and understand those mathematical facts. I think I will try to look more into that soon

The point is that the tropical zodiac of western astrology is not 'based on the seasons.'

It moves in sync with them, yes, showing it is connected, but 'based on' needs to be thrown out as northern hemispheric bias. Someone in the southern hemisphere would entirely disagree with seasons-based interpretations of Aries as 'beginning of spring' or some other such nonsense. In Australia spring begins on our 'autumnal equinox.' Again, northern hemispheric bias that March 20 is referred to as the 'vernal equinox' and in Sept as the 'autumnal equinox'.

They are equinoxes that signal an axis of the Sun reaching 0-degrees declination.

- Astrology is not 'based on the zodiac.'
- The zodiac is not season-specific, which is a legacy of northern hemispheric bias.
- Astrology is based firstly on the movements of the planets, and primarily upon those of the luminaries, most importantly the Sun.

Study: ecliptic and Sun's declination.
