We always talk about exes returning... have any of you ever just randomly decided to get in touch with an ex during the retrograde? I wonder if our natals have anything to do with if you are the one the contacted or the contacter.. Or is the whole ex popping up thing a cosmic thing where they put you two at the same place at the same time? Or maybe the universe reminds someone of an ex until they contact them?

Me? I've never ever had any desire to get back in touch with an ex. Even on a retrograde. I dontknow what in my astro contributes to this soooo I'm gonna see what you guys have to say

I think someone is going to have to post the dates of all of the Venus Retrogrades in the last 25 years... I can cannot remember if I have been.

However, with my Pluto opposite Venus; I have a tendency to hold on to things. So, once they go... It's usually been after a WHILE of trying to forcefully hold it together and by the time a situation has reached THAT POINT... I don't reach out. Perhaps because it takes a lot of me to let go and to get to the stage means that DAMAGE has been done.

No. Once I'm done, I'm done. Retrogrades don't change anything to my feelings. I may think of them, but that's about it.

I'm a Scorpio Sun/Venus/Mercury/Pluto, so my decisions are usually final. I may have a hard time letting go of someone I had genuine feelings for but I never go back on any decision (I'm very fixed).

If I was the dumpee, I have enough pride never to return to someone who once thought the grass was greener.

I can still think of someone daily without feeling the urge to contact them.

I cut all of my exes/flings completely.

I'm about to be that ex! lol

Not because I want to though. But I actually have to contact this person because I need him to do something for me.
I'm hoping that I can trust him to be the person he was - and help me out.
If I had a choice, I'd avoid contacting him. I haven't spoken to him in a couple of years now.

After looking at those dates, I can definitely say that I don't think I've gone back to someone; but in a couple of those years... People have come back to me and I've let them back in or gone over some old stuff and let them go again. Damn being a Scorpio Rising. Once that trust has been shattered, getting back to how things were is not easy.

Hahaha this is a very interesting thread. Yes, I did send an email when venus was RX. I have a very problematic relationship with this man, he is very abusivr. we broke up and got back together SEVEN times. It'll never work, but I felt the urge to contact him in the last venus RX.

We broke up again shortly before the rx, this month.

Me too. I cut off ties with ex-es. Once over, and it is after some long suffering periods of letting go, I move on n never look back.

Venus Rx only meant some tried to get in contact with me but they knowingly did that knowing I won't get back at all. I have Pluto, moon n Venus forms grand trine.

I don't think I've ever actually contacted anyone from the past during a Venus RX, just thought about them and reflected on relationships of the past. The only time I contacted this one particular ex from the past was when there was a conjunction going on with their name asteroid and the Moon transiting in aspect to the MC.

I have been honestly thinking about contacting my ex but lately the more I think the more I don't really want to. I have been thinking its probably best not to because the last communication we had ended bad and I feel its best to just move on with both of our lives

I did contact one person during Venus retrograde in 2004. I think I was being overly optimistic under transiting Jupiter conjunct Sun/Ascendant and square Neptune and maybe also fading Pluto square natal Sun.

It was one of the worst decisions I have ever made.
